TwinPower Turbine Maintenance Standard Ultra Series amp 45 Model MORITA A IMPORTANT Turbines may fail quickly if maintenance is not performed consistently and correctly Perform these maintenance procedures after treatment and before autoclaving 2 Disinfection A MANUAL Lubrication Cleaning amp Cleaning Chuck Lubrication 3 Seconds of Spray AUTOMATED Lubrication Cleaning Chuck Lubrication 5 Seconds Beep Sounds n b Handpiece Lubrication ubrina 3 Seconds of Spray Handpiece D a Lubrication Select Station 1 4 Wipe Off Excess Lubricant Minimum of 15 Seconds of Operation Wipe Off Excess Lubricant Sterilization 1 Cleaning e Remove cutting debris blood and other contaminants with a soft brush and running water A Do not fail to wash off all chemical electrolytic and other active liquids Only 2 Disinfection e Use gauze or a soft brush with disinfecting alcohol on the entire handpiece LJ e Handpieces with the following mark may be cleaned and disinfected with a thermal washer and disinfector To use a thermal washer and disinfector do not fail to follow the instructions and conditions that come with the handpiece 3 Lubrication a Manual Lubricate with AR Spray Cleaning e Lubricate the chuck and the handpiece with AR Spray for 3 seconds each K e Operate the handpiece for a minimum of 15 seconds to remove excess lubricant e Wipe excess lubr2. icant off the surface of the handpiece AN Use the proper nozzle for type of handpiece joint x ae N Chuck Spray Nozzle Handpiece Connection Do not press down on the push cap of the handpiece during operation b Automated Lubrina with AR Spray e Perform chuck lubrication using Lubrina s built in Chuck Nozzle Line up the front end of the head with the nozzle guide and set the chuck in place Lift the handpiece up slightly to begin cleaning and lubricating for about 5 seconds beep sounds e Attach handpiece to its coupling with the chuck facing back Select Station 1 4 Wipe excess lubricant off the surface of the handpiece A Refer to the user s manual on how to operate Lubrina 4 Sterilization e Place the handpiece in a sterilization pouch and autoclave at 135 C 275 F for a minimum 135 C of 5 minutes of sterilization time A Autoclave and drying temperatures must not exceed 135 C 275 F 5 Storage e Remove the handpiece from autoclave unit and store carefully NOTE e Wear surgical gloves to perform maintenance us e Use AR Spray only i e See user s manuals for details J Morita USA Inc 9 Mason Irvine CA 92618 949 581 9600 info jmoritausa com www morita com usa L845 09 14
