9. g Time k Depending on your living area and if Daylight Saving Time DST is observed you can manually switch DST on 1 OFF 1 or use e setting To manually turn on the DST function just set the DST Switch to 1 The DST icon will appear and the time will advance 1 hour To manually turn OFF the DST function set the DST Switch to OFF The time will go back 1 hour Set the DST Switch to AUTO to have the unit automatically adjust the time at the beginning and end of Daylight Saving Time each year BUN H Adjusting the Display brightness To adjust the brightness to dim medium or bright setting press the Snooze Dimmer Bar repeatedly until the desired brightness is reached Listening and Sleeping to the Radio Listening to the Radio 1 Press the Radio On Sleep Button once to turn the radio on The Radio Power Indicator will appear at the top of the display Note If the Radio On Sleep Button is pressed more than once the unit will enter sleep mode See the Sleeping to the Radio with Timer section for more information about this feature Slide the Radio Band Switch to AM or FM Rotate the Radio Tuning Thumbwheel to select a radio station Rotate the Volume Thumbwheel to adjust the volume level Press the Off Alarm Reset Button to turn the radio off Antenna Information and Adjustment FM Extend FM wire antenna to its full length and vary the direction to its strongest signal AM_ The AM bar antenna is

11. located inside the cabinet Rotate the unit until you find the strongest AM signal NOTE iPod MP3 player may interfere with AM reception Please remove iPod from bracket and place away from unit for better AM reception Sleeping to the Radio with Timer 1 Follow the above instructions to select a radio station Press the Radio On Sleep Button twice to enter sleep mode Continue pressing the Radio On Sleep Button to select a 90 60 30 or 15 minute sleep time The Sleep Volume Indicator will appear in the bottom left corner of the display showing that the timer has been activated Press the Sleep Volume Button to adjust the sleep volume to a comfortable level This will not affect the alarm volume Turning the Volume Thumbwheel also adjusts the sleep volume though this affects the alarm volume 5 The radio will play for the programmed sleep time and then shut off To turn off the radio before the sleep time has elapsed press the Off Alarm Reset Button Listening to MP3s and Sleeping to the AUX in Device 1 Connect your MP3 Discman or other audio device into the CD MP3 AUX J ack located on the back of the unit with mini plug cord 2 Slide the Function Switch to MP3 Press the Radio On Sleep Button once to turn the unit on or keep pressing the button for sleep operation see steps 3 and 4 above under Sleeping to the Radio 3 Turn on the external device and adjust the device output level or the Volume Thumbwheel to
