13. ify function will continue to operate until the function is turned off via the user interface or the device is powered down Note The identify function of Dante Controller does not control the identify feature on the unDX210 To identify a device use the unlFY Control Panel identify function instead 3 6 Device Controls The unDX2IO inputs have two software configurable options The mic line gain control and the phantom power control The mic line gain control gives the user three gain choices depending on the type of signal being provided to the input For a line level signal select the OdB option The remaining two options are for use if a microphone is to be connected directly to the input If using a microphone as an input source choose the gain value that best suits the microphones output signal The phantom power option is available for microphones that need it The unDX210 provides 24V phantom power Check the box to turn phantom power on Uncheck the box to turn it off Note Although the screen shows settings for output gain this function is not available on the unDX210 and as a consequence the output gain settings are disabled 3 7 Saving and Loading Settings The unDX2IO device settings can be saved or loaded by clicking on the Li icon to bring up the preset form P A Device Preset MM Preset re no The unDX2IO supports 10 internal presets with one of those presets used as the power up default It also supports

15. lename To load settings from a file click the Load from File button and select the appropriate file Attero Tech LLC 2014 Page 12 614 00016 04 unDX2IO User Manual ATTEROTECH 4 3 Party Control The unDX210 supports 3 party control allowing external system to manage the unDX2IO s settings such as phantom power mic line gain options and control of presets There are two control interface types available for the unDX210 The first type is a Dante proprietary interface which is typically used by devices already that have built in support for Attero Tech devices The second type supports a 3 party UDP interface and is available to anyone to use with any device capable of sending and receiving UDP messages Information on the commands the unDX210 supports as well as details of how to use the 3 party UDP interface can be found in the unlFY 3 party Software API document available from the registered users section of the Attero Tech website Go to www atterotech com and click on the log in option 4 1 Command Interface Type The type of command interface a specific unDX2IO supports is defined by the Dante firmware it has been loaded with There are two methods to determine which Dante firmware and thus which command interface that is 1 Run unlFY Control Panel V1 5 1 or later and connect to a device The interface type is shown on the status bar at the bottom of the application window as the Direct UDP
16. nd two balanced XLR line outputs with each input also supporting 48V phantom power All inputs and outputs can be used simultaneously and all audio channels are available separately Connection to the Dante network is provided by a single Ethernet RJ45 connector on the back of the unit The unDX210 is PoE enabled which allows the unDX210 to be powered over its network cable from a suitable PoE source IEEE 802 3af eliminating the need for a local power supply This is particularly useful as the unDX2IO can then be mounted in remote location where access to a mains outlet would be limited or indeed non existent Audinate s Dante Controller or other 3rd party manufacturer s Dante routing software can be used to control the audio routing configuration of the device while the Attero Tech unlFY Control Panel application can be used to configure the device specific features The unDX2IO also supports control by third party systems allowing external configuration of its settings such as phantom power and input gain in real time Further information on 3 party control can be found later in this document in section 4 1 1 What s in the Box The unDX210 comes supplied with the following o unDX210 device o Mounting kit o Decora plate Dante is a trademark of Audinate Pty Ltd O Attero Tech LLC 2014 Page 4 614 00016 04 unDX2IO User Manual O ATTEROTECH 2 Device Installation Io Power ID LED 2 x Balanced audio input
17. s 2 x Balanced Audio outputs Note The unDX210 has a label on the front of the metal housing at the top that shows the last 6 digits of the MAC address This is important for initial device identification as these digits make up part of the devices default network name that is shown when the device is detected by Dante Controller The full MAC address is also given on the back of the unit O Attero Tech LLC 2014 Page 5 614 00016 04 unDX210 User Manual ATTEROT Ca L 2 1 Mounting A typical installation will involve mounting the wall plate into a pre mounted wall box Before starting make sure the wall box where the unDX210 is to be installed is pre wired with a suitable cable back to a PoE enabled network switch or mid span injector If a mid span injector is being used the cable should be connected to the port that supplies both Ethernet and power refer to the devices manual if unsure which port is which Attach the network cable from the switch mid span injector to the Dante I F port of the Dante unDX210 If the switch or mid span injector is already running and PoE is enabled the unit should power up and the green ID LED on the front of the device should turn on With the cable attached carefully place the unDX210 into the wall box taking care to not trap the cabling Once full in place secure it with the screws provided Once the unit is secured in the wall box fit the Decora plate and secure it with the screws prov
18. saving settings to and loading settings from a file 3 7 1 Internal Presets Settings in a device can be saved to an internal preset which can then be recalled at a later date There are 10 internal presets one of which is the Default preset that is used to set device settings when the unDX2IO is first powered on Select a preset to use by using the drop down in the Device Preset section Once a preset has been selected the current settings of the device can be saved to the selected preset by clicking the Save to Device button Alternately the settings from the selected preset can be loaded and used as the current settings by clicking the Recall from Device button Note Loading a preset will overwrite all the current settings in the device with settings from the selected preset Attero Tech LLC 2014 Page 11 614 00016 04 unDX2IO User Manual ATTEROT a d 3 7 2 Preset Files To allow settings to be transferred to others devices or for use as a backup the current settings can also be saved toa file or loaded from a file When the loading settings from a file both the on screen controls and the device settings will be modified to match the settings from the file If the settings from the file need to be saved to a preset then that will need to be done manually once the settings are loaded To save the current settings to a file click the Save to File button and then enter an appropriate fi
