PRVM PRTE PRT1 and PRT2 PRTE may be used to send data from CICS to the VM spool PRVM PRT1 and PRT2 may print entries from the VM print spool PRVM requires an individual class for each printer while PRT1 only uses one printer class that is used by PRT2 to select various printers by means of TAG information In all of these programs except PRT1 the parameter AGO is available This parameters avoids that the print must be resumed by entering GO in the program COBA We recommend not to use this parameter since the error messages are non resident and therefore you will no longer be able to analyze the causes of occurring interferences The print programs support various print parameters by the supplement PARAMS In this way you may determine the layout of your printer output 7 1 1 Control of the output format Each of the print programs NOTE PR3287 PR3770 PRVM and PRT2 permits the specifications of parameters which control the output format These parameters set up form length lines of characters per line etc The parameters are a standard supply and can be found in your HOBCOM TCT labeled as XCPRPAR Currently the following parameters are available 8 printer independent parameters FORM 36 lines per page and 12 characters per inch 96 lines per page and 158 characters per inch FORM2 36 lines per page and 10 characters per inch 80 lines per page and 132 characters per inch FSP10 72 lines per page and 10 character

17. and several responses are displayed on the terminal at the same time Especially for the terminal series 90 and 70 LOTEC uses another parameter MODEL The terminal series 90 and 70 may display large screen formats models 2 to 5 according to IBM Model 1 24 x 80 characters Model 3 32 x 80 characters Model 4 43 x 80 characters Model 5 27 x 132 characters HOB COMMUNICATION BETWEEN HOBCOM AND THE APPLICATIONS HOBCOM under VM CMS B HOB 7 Printing with HOBCOM 7 1 General information The HOBCOM printer control allows output of all data received on printers attached to the terminal E terminals or under certain conditions standard 3270 terminals and on system printers For this purpose HOBCOM implements sever print programs Basically these run in the background i e that they will not use a virtual or a real terminal However a connection to a terminal is sometimes required e g in order to start the programs in order to wait or to terminate The program COBA serves to set up the connection The program NOTE has several functions on the one hand Hardcopies may be printed on the other hand it simulates an electronic notebook similar to the Softcopy function of a HOB terminal Contrary to the Softcopy which allows to save only a single screen view using NOTE you may save up to 8 screen views All screen views are automatically erased once the program NOTE is terminated The following 4 programs are available
