G TechGrow Innovative Growing Solutions Clima Control Basic PIUS TechGTOW mimina an EON a ust A 7 an oA E Es j 1 il SIC yi US ISA Issued 01 09 2015 S lt MANUAL WWW TECHGROW NL Clima Control Basic Plus user manual Thank you for purchasing the TechGrow Clima Control Basic Plus This climate controller is very easy to use and easy to connect The Clima Control Basic Plus accurately creates the right climate in your grow room By means of our advanced software the Clima Control Basic Plus is able to control your climate effeciently Content of the box e TechGrow Clima Control Basic Plus e Mounting kit e Spare fuse e Manual FEATURES e Plug amp Play e LED display for set point and current temperature e Very easy to operate e Adjustment range temperature 10 0 45 0 C e Adjustment range temperature hysteresis 1 0 7 0 C e Adjustable minimum en maximum fan power e Pre mounted temperature probe on a 4 5 meter cable 1 5ft e Analog control buttons for simple adjustments of settings e Two sockets for fans e Easy to connect e Easy to replace Fuse e Spare fuse included e Available in 7A and 14A versions e Power supply 110V to 240V e DIN rail mountable Installation 1 It is recommandable to mount the Temp probe the stainless steel cylinder on a suitable place preferably 1 meter above the floor 2 Never install the Clima Control Basic Plus near a2. sensors or other devices It is not possible to connect extra sensors to the Clima Control Basic Plus The only sensor suitable for the Clima Control Basic Plus is the Temp probe which is pre mounted by default Also the Clima Control Basic plus can NOT be connected to other TechGrow devices Replacing the fuse If a short circuit occurs by overload of the fan s the fuse will blow If in rare cases the Clima Control Basic Plus does not operate it could also indicate that the fuse has blown In these cases the fuse must be replaced The fuse is placed left on the front side of the controller Remove the fuse from the black casing by using a flat screwdriver Now the fuse can be replaced by a new one One spare fuse is supplied Put the new fuse in the black casing and place them back in the holder Rotate the screwdriver a quarter turn to the right to close TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Power supply 100 to 240 Volt Net frequency 50 to 60 Hz Consumption 3 Watt Maximum fan capacity 7 Amp 1700W 14 Amp 3400W Adjustment range temperature 10 0 45 0 C Adjustment range hysteresis 1 0 7 0 C
3. water pipe or drainage 3 Mount the TechGrow Clima Control Basic Plus to the wall with the supplied mountingkit or to a DIN rail 4 Make sure that the switch is positioned to OFF 5 Plug the fan into the outlet of the Clima Control Basic Plus 6 Plug the Clima Control Basic Plus into an outlet 7 Done Automatic functions of the TechGrow Clima Control Basic Plus Depending on the settings the fan s can be con trolled automatically After enabling the Clima Control Basic Plus the connected fan s will always start at full speed for 1 second to guarantee that your box will start rotating despite of how low the Box Min is set After setting the temperature the Clima Control Basic Plus will try to maintain this temperature LED Display When the Clima Control Basic Plus is operating normally the LED display will show the current measured temperature After adjusting the set point the Clima Basic Plus will display the new set temperature for three seconds In case there s no communication with the sensor the display will show Working of the Clima Control Basic Plus The Clima Control Basic Plus controls the temperature in your area When the temperature exceeds the set hysteresis the fan power will slowly increase until the temperature reaches the set point or the fan speed reaches the MAX value whichever comes first When the temperature drops below the set hysteresis the fan power
4. will slowly decrease until the temperature reaches the set point or the fan speed reaches the MIN value whichever comes first In case of failure to the sensor the controller will let the Box power increase until the MAX value is reached Configuring the Clima Control Basic Plus Rotate the temperature button top left on the controller all the way up to 45 C Position the switch to AUTO The fan should now start rotating Set the minimum fan power to the desired level by rotating the Box Min button Now adjust the set point to 10 C and set the maximum fan power by rotating the MAX button Now set the desired temperature by rotating the Temp button The set point will be shown on the LED display Also set the hysteresis by setting the right button to the desired value 1 0 7 0 C Ramping up from Box min to Box may take up to 2 minutes The adjustment rate of the Clima Control Basic Plus is calmer than other controllers so that a more stable climate can be created A perfect adjustment can be obtained by playing with the Box min and Box max Do not set the Box min too low to prevent stalling of your fan This setting can be different for every fan lf desired the controller can be overruled temporarily to let the fan operate at 100 In order to do this position the swith to 100 To continue at normal speed position the switch back to AUTO Connecting extra
