Note The AC adapter should be plugged in so that it stays vertical or lies flat Hand Crank Charging The hand crank charges the Emergency Lighting s internal battery 1 Take out the hand crank from the initial position and tilt it at its 180 position 2 Crank at a speed of 130 150 rpm rotations per minute either clockwise or counter clockwise 3 The indicator light will turn red which shows the battery inside is being charged Note If you don t reach a turning speed of at least 130 rpm the battery won t charge as quickly IMPORTANT Don t force the hand crank Make sure you turn from the handle only don t grab the entire crank Lighting Function 1 light or 2 lights button pan v turns on the right side light only turns on both lights ON OFF AUTO button ON turns the lights on On OFF turns the lights off OFF AUTOT AUTO automatically turns the light on when the emergency lighting s power source is cut off leave the unit plugged into a power source to use this feature Mounting the Emergency Lighting Unit This Emergency Lighting device offers three placement options keep the unit on a horizontal surface like a desk or table no mounting required hang the unit temporarily mount the hanging bracket permanently To keep the unit on a horizontal surface There s no mounting or further installation required However you can remove the hanging bracket from the back of the unit if
