Rx 8 GND GND Scanner Operative The scanner is used to select an item that you wish to print To do so with the LP 3000 at the initial screen or at the item printing screen EAN13 or EAN8 bar code is read With the data provided by the scanner the LP 3000 will seek the first item with the same code programmed in its EAN code field and it will select it for its labelling During the search for the item two chains of characters are therefore compared one provided by the scanner and the other programmed in the item s EAN code field For the comparison of the chains only the numbers are taken into account and not the letters Consequently in the event that the item s EAN is programmed with substitution characters these characters will not be compared Example Chain provided by the scanner 251234567890 EAN code of item 1 259876543210 EAN code of item 2 25BBBBB567890 EAN code of item 3 251234567890 The item selected would be the second because it is the first whose numbers coincide The substitution characters are not compared f there is an item whose EAN code is made up entirely of substitution characters it can be selected from the EAN code which is read with the scanner provided the search has not concluded with a previous item 75 USER S MANUAL 7 14 1 3 Indicator The labeller LP 3000 can receive the weight from an external indicator The external indicator can be a D
