1. ir IPRO TECH 9630 North 25 Avenue Suite 450 Phoenix AZ 85021 Voice 602 324 4780 Fax 602 324 4784 IPRO Tech Client Services Tip of the Week Tuesday August 22 2006 IPROPrint PostScript Printing of Batches The IPROPrint Module local or remote allows for large volume high speed batch printing dedicated to scanned images in a network environment PROPrint supports printing batches from a standard Windows print driver XipPrint enhanced printers PCL high capacity printer and PostScript TIFF printers For PostScript printing you can define the media type settings through the driver s dialog box es Refer to the printer s user manual for information on configuring the media type settings NOTE When using a Postscript Printer the only paper size available is Letter Size Size for size printing is not available 1 Start PROPrint 2 Choose File gt Print Options from the menu bar The Printer Options dialog box appears Printer Options J Options Set Meg Eey Placement Override User Font lrage Clip Options Printer Type f Standard Windows Print Driver i ipPrint f Postscript TIFF Printer Setup PCL High Capacity Printer Setup TIFF File Output Directory E P Close Spool File at Doc Boundaries Use Color for Slip Sheets and Banners Override User Paper Tray Selection Create Print History File Print Batch Start Banner Pages Print Split Batch Banner Pages Print

IP Address of the printer server in the IP Address field and type the name of the Queue in the Queue field Click OK to return to the Printer Options dialog box Select from the following available options for a PostScript printer Close Spool File at Doc Boundaries Stops spooling after each document PROPrint will create a separate spool file for every document in the range you are printing If your printer is configured to Slip sheet or staple at the job level each new document will be a separate job Use Color for Slip Sheets and Banners Places a color separator page at the beginning of each document boundary The separator page prints on color paper The document pages print on white paper Slip Sheet 1st Pages of Documents Prints the first page of the document boundary on color paper If you have a document with 4 pages page 1 will print on color paper and pages 2 through 4 will print on white paper Use Staple for Doc Sep Places a staple at each document boundary Add Print Margins Places a 14 inch margin around the page This option is used if your particular printer driver shifts the image to the upper left hand corner This is turned off by default You may have to try printing a sample to determine if you need to use this option The printer driver determines the placement of the text on the page Print to File Only Generates a PostScript PS file and places it in the default batch print directory path that is shown in
