Please consult the EVM User s Guide prior to connecting any load to the EVM output If there is uncertainty as to the load specification please contact a TI field representative During normal operation some circuit components may have case temperatures greater than 60 C as long as the input and output are maintained at a normal ambient operating temperature These components include but are not limited to linear regulators switching transistors pass transistors and current sense resistors which can be identified using the EVM schematic located in the EVM User s Guide When placing measurement probes near these devices during normal operation please be aware that these devices may be very warm to the touch As with all electronic evaluation tools only qualified personnel knowledgeable in electronic measurement and diagnostics normally found in development environments should use these EVMs Agreement to Defend Indemnify and Hold Harmless You agree to defend indemnify and hold TI its licensors and their representatives harmless from and against any and all claims damages losses expenses costs and liabilities collectively Claims arising out of or in connection with any use of the EVM that is not in accordance with the terms of the agreement This obligation shall apply whether Claims arise under law of tort or contract or any other legal theory and even if the EVM fails to perform as described or expected Safety Critical or Life Critical
3. a second driver must be installed This driver will install after the firmware is downloaded to the DSP via USB Use the following steps to complete this process 1 Start the software by selecting ADCPro from the Windows Start menu If the ADCPro Launcher is enabled run the main ADCPro application Otherwise ADCPro main application should start normally and display the main screen 2 Select ADSXXXXEVM from the EVM drop down menu where XXXX corresponds to the EVM PDK being evaluating The ADSXXXXEVM PDK plug in appears in the left pane 3 The ADSXXXXEVM PDK plug in window has a status area at the top of the screen black bar with green text When the plug in is first loaded the plug in searches for the board and will begin downloading the firmware The user will see a series of messages in the status area indicating this action 4 Complete the installation using the steps in Section 4 2 1 for Windows 7 or Section 4 2 2 for Windows XP NOTE During the process of installing the drivers the software may warn of a time out condition Close the notification that appears and unload and reload the ADCPro plug in once the driver finishes installation 4 2 1 USBStyx Driver Installation on Windows 7 Operating Systems 1 If the operating system drivers have not been loaded Windows will begin the new driver installation process The status of the driver installation will be displayed through task bar messages that complete with the message s
