2. 2 Repeat with the other short foam pad on the other side of the bed Fig 6 A Fig 6 A 3 Open the slot on a long foam pad Part F 2 each and wrap two pads around either long rail Fig 6 B NOTE Make sure that the slot faces outward from the bed frame Fig 6 B 14 Posey 4 Repeat with the other long foam pad on the other side Fig 6 B 5 Open the slot on a long foam pad Part F and wrap around on any of the vertical leg posts Fig 6 C ACAUTION Make sure that the slot faces outward from the bed frame Fig 6 C 6 Repeat on the other three vertical posts until all are padded Posey Bed 8070 Posey Canopy Installation Materials e Part R 1 e Assembled Bed Frame When zipping the canopy make sure the zipper pins are completely seated Failure to do this will prevent the zipper from closing securely which may lead to unassisted bed exit and potential patient injury ACAUTION To avoid damage to zippers or fabric be sure to pull the fabric closed as each panel is fully zipped Figs 7 A 7 B Fig 7 A Fig 7 B 1 Unfold the canopy on the bed ACAUTION ALWAYS orient the canopy so the Instruction Storage Pocket is at the foot of the bed Fig 7 C 2 Release corner covers 3 Unzip all four vertical rail zippers 4 Beginning vvith one corner leg vvrap the canopy around the foam making sure that the foam is positioned toward the top

4. rail Repeat with the second short rail between the left and right foot posts Parts M amp N 12 Posey Long Rail Assembly Materials e Hardware Packet A e Part G 2 e 9 16 wrench ACAUTION This section requires two people 1 Hold and align one of the long rails Part G between the left head and left foot posts Parts H amp M Fig 5 C Fig 5 C 2 Place a locking washer on four 4 1 bolts Hardware Packet A and insert one into each hole of the corner connection Fig 5 D Fig 5 D 3 Hand tighten the bolts loosely until all rails are installed Fig 5 E Fig 5 E Posey Bed 8070 Posey 4 Repeat on the other side of the rail 5 Repeat with the second long rail between the right head and right foot posts Parts amp N 6 Tighten all bolts short and long rails with a 916 wrench until there is resistance 5 F Fig 5 F 7 Gently hand shake each vertical post and top rails to ensure the bolts are securely fastened NOTE Use bed control pad to lower head and knee to the flat position Fig 5 G Posey Bed 8070 Bed Assembly 8 The frame assembly is complete Fig 5 H 13 Bed Assembly Foam Pad Assembly Materials e Parts E 2 F 8 1 Open the slot on a short foam pad Part E and wrap around the short rail at either the head or foot or the bed Fig 6 A NOTE Make sure that the slot faces outward from the bed frame

9. fer Brake Assembly Materials e Hardware Packet D e Part O 4 e 1716 wrench 2 1 Align the top and bottom holes on the Transfer Brake Part O with the two holes on the bed frame NOTE Make sure the holes in the brake are facing the holes in the bed frame Fig 3 A 2 Insert two bolts Hardware Packet D one into the top hole and one into the bottom hole of the transfer brake Fig 3 B Fig 3 B Posey Bed 8070 Bed Assembly 4 Use a 7716 wrench to tighten both bolts Fig 3 D NOTE Two 7716 wrenches are needed One to hold the bolt and the other to hold the nut ACAUTION DO NOT over tighten as a a T h J Sa Fig 3 D 5 Repeat steps 1 4 until all four transfer brakes are properly installed 6 Turn the bed assembly upright and lock all four casters by pressing down on the lock on each caster Fig 3 E ACAUTION Turning the bed upright requires two people Fig 3 E NOTE The bed platform cannot be raised lowered or articulated unless the power cord is plugged into an appropriate grounded AC electrical outlet Locate the control pad in the packaging under the bed frame to raise and articulate the frame Frame Assembly 2 Insert al Carriage bolt Hardware Packet B into each hole Figs 4 D Materials e Hardware Packet B e Part H I M N e Clamps 4 e 7 16 wrench NOTE The frame assembly consists of distinct left and right
10. l outlet to assist with assembly 1 Lay the bed frame Part P on the floor upside down Fig 2 A NOTE Bed motor will be located on the foot end Fig 2 A Bed Motor Fig 2 A 2 Insert the caster leg frame Part J Head Label into the wheel receiver at the head of the bed frame Fig 2 B NOTE The caster leg frame Part J must be placed in the wheel receivers opposite the bed motor Posey Bed 8070 3 Press firmly to seat the caster leg frame Part J completely down into the wheel receiver Fig 2 C 4 Insert the caster leg frame Part K Foot Label into the wheel receiver at the foot of the bed NOTE The caster leg frame Part K must be placed in the wheel receivers located near the bed motor Fig 2 D 5 Press firmly to seat the caster leg frame Part K completely down into the wheel receiver 6 Secure the Caster Leg Frames onto the bed frame starting with either the head or foot using the square plugs Hardware Packet C Fig 2 E 7 Place a lock washer on a 1 bolt Hardware 9 Tighten with a 9 16 wrench Fig 2 G Packet C and insert it into a square plug with ACAUTION DO NOT over tighten channel fitting Fig 2 E Fig 2 E 10 Repeat until all four square plugs have been installed 8 Put the plug and bolt into the hole on top of the caster leg frame using the square plug and receiver Fig 2 F Fig 2 F 8 Posey Bed 8070 PPosey Trans

15. ranty Posey Limited Warranty What Does this Warranty Cover Posey warrants to the original purchaser that the Posey Bed 8070 is free of defects in materials and workmanship If the product is found to be defective in workmanship or materials we will repair or replace it at our option at no charge other than certain transportation and cleaning charges How Long Does the Warranty Last This warranty is two 2 years from the date of purchase for the bed frame five 5 years from the date of purchase for the mattress and one 1 year from the date of purchase for the canopy Useful life of the Posey Bed canopy is estimated at three 3 years What is NOT Covered by this Warranty e Damage to the metal frame nylon canopy or other components caused by 1 use in unsuitable environmental conditions or failure to assemble or maintain the product in accord with user and service instructions 2 abuse including but not limited to patient damage misuse alteration exposure to extreme heat or by natural or external forces such as flood or fire e Damage caused by alteration modification or repair unless performed by Posey e Consequential or incidental damage including but not limited to loss of income or profits is not covered The laws of some countries may not allow exclusion of such damages so this limitation may not apply to you Cleaning and Shipping Charges e Shipping costs for products sent to Posey must be pre paid by you
