3. remove the speakers lf you have purchased the Epi Foot set of supports for the Epilogue open the feet box too and remove the feet parts Unpack the speakers close to the location where they will be standing ATTENTION If you need to return the speakers to the factory or to your local representative for a warranty repair please note that it must be repacked in the original packing This packaging has been designed specifically to protect the Epilogue 1 Signature in transit Use of alternative packaging is likely to result in damage invalidating warranty cover User Manual GOLDMUND Epilogue 1 Signature 5 SELECTING THE SPEAKERS LOCATION If you decided not to use the Goldmund Epi Foot supports you will need a very strong support for the Epilogue A very rigid floor is very important for the optimal sonic result of your Epilogue speakers Especially if you use the Epi Foot select a position of the speaker to have the most rigid possible coupling with the floor Solid coupling is essential and if your support is standing on a suspended floor optimal result requires that you arrange the support to have at least the pointed foot above a supporting beam or close enough from a supporting wall ATTENTION The pointed feet included in the Epi Foot are very hard They are designed to go through a carpeted floor If your floor is made of wood or tile be careful not to scratch it by moving a speaker without lifting the point User Manua

6. l GOLDMUND Epilogue 1 Signature 6 4 ASSEMBLING THE EPI FOOT e First put the speaker on its side on the floor Use a soft cushion to avoid damaging it e Screw the pointed bar in the threading accessible in the speaker s bottom plate Tighten it as much as you can e Put some soap on the bar near the pointed end in order to slide it easier into the 2 rubber centering rings of the foot assembly e Slide the foot on the bar You can make it easier by turning the speaker with the pointed bar toward the ceiling e Lift the speaker and put it on its foot e Adjust the 4 leveling screws of each foot to provide a stable position to the speaker User Manual GOLDMUND Epilogue 1 Signature 7 CONNECTING THE AMPLIFIER The Epilogue 1 Signature needs to be powered by 2 amplifiers as it does not include a passive filter This system has to be used with a preamplifier enabling digital filters to be implemented To benefit from the Proteus technology and Leonardo time correction developed by Goldmund we recommend using The Mimesis 16 Mimesis 16HD or Mimesis 32 preamplifiers If you do not use Goldmund amplifiers make sure to select amplifiers with sufficient speed and dynamic range to do justice to the qualities of the Epilogue Slow amplifiers will not have the capability to properly hold the ultra fast drivers of the Epilogue 1 Signature The cables coming from the amplifiers have to be connected to the back panel plug connectors
