EEN om HDMI Output dm oe HDMI On _ToDuplay 7 OO i aia bn LDtepiom UU E E Option 3 If you have a single HDMI source you can hook the Video source directly up to the From AV Receiver port on the back of the HD3000 Connect a second HDMI cable to the To Display port on the back of the HD3000 and attach the other end to your Plasma TV or Projector display system DED Plager Fideo Player Je resp HDMI TX Jk TF Prgector Lkapferg Seater ESTABLISHING INITIAL OUTPUT RESOLUTION From the factory the HD3000 is shipped with the default output resolution of 1280x720 progressive scan commonly knows as 720p This is a resolution format commonly found on many high definition digital displays For most high definition display products this is the only step needed lf your display is not compatible with 720p resolution the HD3000 offers an easy way for to set the right output signals that match your display Prior to connecting the HD3000 to a display please determine resolution capabilities of your Display To determine the resolution that will work please refer to the list of compatible resolutions below e 1280x 20p 50 60 72 Hz default 50Hz for European product and 60Hz for US and ASIA e 1024x768p 50 60 72 Hz Native resolution for a few 16x9 Plasma TV e 1280x 68p 50 60 72 Hz Native resolution for some DLP projector LCD TV and plasma TV e 1366x768p 50 60 Hz Native resolution for 16x9 plasma TV

9. e 1920x1080p 48 50 60 Hz HD ready Standard To avoid multiple processing of the same images we recommend outputting native resolution to your display from the HD3000 This will ensure the best possible image quality Many displays also feature a built in Scaler unit but these Scalers are not as sophisticated as the HD3000 o Change the Output Resolution If your display native resolution is not the HD3000 s default 720p 1280x720 change the resolution as follows STEP 1 Connect the HD3000 to your display see Pg 12 and power on the HD3000 and your display Option 1 If your display is capable of 1280x720 the display will lock on to the output signal from the HD3000 Press the menu button on the remote control and use the OSD On Screen Display to change to your desired native display resolution See Operation amp Control section of this manual Option 2 If your display cannot lock on to 720p you will not be able to utilize the OSD to change the initial settings In this case use the front panel control buttons and press the 1 key This will automatically start changing the resolution output from the HD3000 Press the button until you find a mode that will work Please remember to wait a few seconds between button presses to allow for the HD3000 amp the display to synchronize Once a mode is found the HD3000 will prompt you for a confirmation All other setup will be done with the remote control via the M

Scene specific noise reduction removes unwanted image noise without affecting detail or sharpness Image Gamma Engine Users can define their own gamma curve in 9 regions RECOMMENDATIONS It is best to get the video content in its original form without any processing and feed it to the HD3000 for de interlacing scaling and enhancement For example we would recommend users to use an HDMI DVD that is capable of outputting digital 480i 576i and feed it to the HD3000 via HDMI input In this way the original digital video will stay intact until the HD3000 unleashes its studio grade video processing engines In general we recommend the following If possible use digital output DVD D VHS DTV setup box etc If there is no digital output use the component output terminals YPbPr with short good quality components cables If you are not sure about the quality of the internal de interlacing or Scaler of your DVD let the HD3000 do the processing by connecting it to the interlaced component output some HDTV STB have scaling conversion that will output 1080i in 720p format Try setting the STB to its native 1080i signal format and let the HD3000 perform de interlacing and scaling Some HDMI DVD do not have digital interlaced output 4801 5761 we suggest users try 480p 576p first followed by 720p and 1080i and then users can judge from the image quality to stay with one format Many high end DVD players with analog output also
