4. ck that you have the following items e ReadyShot Carry Pouch e ReadyShot Magazine with Base e ReadyShot Protective Sleeve e ReadyShot Circuit Board and Wire e ReadyShot Laser e Package of Two Batteries e Package of Two Magnets e Package of Adhesive Dots ASSEMBLY The entire process of assembling the ReadyShot Gun Inserts into your handgun will not take more than a few seconds In order to successfully assemble the ReadyShot Gun Kit and avoid frustration it is very important to FIRST read through all of the instructions The picture above shows proper alignment of the magazine components as they are assembled properly 1 As always remove your firearm s magazine and check the chamber to ensure the gun is unloaded and safe Check again and then check again 2 Pull the slide to the rear and lock it open 3 First time use only Install the batteries Gently slide the magazine base off of the magazine To do this the power button may need to be loosened up a bit by loosening the nut holding the power button to the base The circuit board will remain attached to the base e Carefully grasp the black Protective Sleeve and pull it out of the bottom of the magazine e Gently slide the Circuit Board out of the Protective Sleeve e Insert the two supplied CR2032 batteries positive side up CR2032 batteries are sold at most stores Please note that the Circuit Board inside the magazine must be positioned properly in o

7. er is fully forward and the magnet is properly attached to the rear of the trigger Then push the button on the bottom of the magazine Holding the button in for one or two seconds will reset the magnet s position e If the laser does not pulse check to see if the laser is fully connected to the wire The laser insert jack can be very tight fitting on the wire plug e If the laser still did not pulse the batteries might need to be changed If you need more batteries you can purchase CR2032 at most any retail store For your convenience the ReadyShot magazine batteries are also used in many Crimson Trace laser sights e To better align the laser with the sights try rotating the laser insert Also try gently pushing one side of the insert into the muzzle This works best if the insert is not jammed hard into the muzzle but instead is firmly pushed into place while still allowing a little wiggle room Another trick is to put a piece tape on the high side of the laser insert e If the laser insert is jammed into the barrel such that it can t be pulled out without possibly breaking it is best to field strip the pistol and use something like a ball point pen casing or cleaning rod to push the laser insert out from behind ee eee BATTERY REPLACEMENT Follow the directions in Disassembly and 3 Install the batteries With your thumb press the lever on the battery holder to lift and remove the battery Insert the new ba
8. ment of the laser You should feel the laser insert click into place on the wire plug 7 Gently push and twist the laser into the muzzle DO NOT jam the laser insert into the muzzle Push it in far enough that it is secure but so that it still twists and allows you to push slightly more on one side as necessary to adjust the alignment of the laser 8 Place the shiny side of the magnet on the backside of the trigger with the sticker side visible and facing the magazine Note A spare magnet is also included for your convenience Please store it in a safe place away from children and animals TIP We have found that some pistols have been manufactured such that the magnet does not adhere to the trigger If needed adhesive dots have been included in your packet and should be applied to the shiny side of the magnet The adhesive dots are removable 9 Ensure the trigger is in its most forward position and THEN push the button on the bottom of the magazine to turn on the power When you first push the button you should see a 0 1 second laser pulse If you inadvertently push the button during assembly you will not see a laser pulse at activation Pushing the button a second time will reset the magazine After 11 minutes of inactivity the Gun Insert Kit will power off automatically 10 Now fully squeeze the trigger to produce a 0 1 second laser pulse each time Pulling the trigger faster than three times per second may result in failu
9. ng magnetic fields of neodymium magnets can also damage magnetic media such as floppy disks credit cards magnetic D cards cassette tapes video tapes or other such devices They can also damage televisions VCRs computer monitors and other CRT displays Never place neodymium magnets near electronic appliances Children should not be allowed to handle neodymium magnets as they can be dangerous Small magnets pose a choking hazard and should never be swallowed or inserted into any part of the body Never allow neodymium magnets near a person with a pacemaker or similar medical aid The strong magnetic fields of the magnet can affect the operation of such devices Neodymium magnets should never be burned as burning them will create toxic fumes Like any tool or toy neodymium magnets can be fun and useful but must always be treated with care BATTERY GUIDELINES REPLACEMENT AND SPECIFICATIONS Gun Kit Only Batteries typically last over 4 hours of actual ON time under normal intermittent use If the laser becomes dim or fades replace batteries ReadyShot uses commonly available CR2032 lithium ion coin batteries To replace batteries 1 Open the magazine by removing the screw that holds the two halves together 2 Remove the two batteries while taking care to not disrupt other components of the circuit board 3 Install new batteries with the positive polarity side up BATTERY SAFETY AND DISPOSAL Batteries lodged in

12. rder for the Circuit Board to be able to sense a trigger pull Please follow the directions precisely Also handling the Circuit Board should be done with caution trying to hold it by the battery holder with minimal contact to any other components e With the ReadyShot Protective Sleeve facing up as shown below slide the Circuit Board into the ReadyShot Protective Sleeve again with batteries facing up and wire facing to the left of the ReadyShot sleeve e With the ReadyShot Protective Sleeve logo facing up see picture above and the magazine positioned with the front of the magazine facing you slide the ReadyShot wire into and through the base of the magazine from right to left and carefully slide the Protective Sleeve into the magazine until the on off button is slightly protruding from the magazine base e Slide the magazine base onto the magazine and tighten the bolt holding the power button 4 Insert the long flexible wire attached to the magazine into the bottom of the grip and up through to the chamber Using your finger gently guide the wire through the chamber and into the barrel While continuing to slowly guide the long flexible wire through the gun s barrel insert the magazine further into the grip of the gun 5 NOW YOU MAY CLOSE THE SLIDE 6 Attach the laser to the wire sticking out of the muzzle TIP Gently holding the plug against one side of the muzzle allows for efficient attach
13. re to fire once in a while 11 Every laser fits uniquely to each handgun For alignment of the laser with your handgun test the laser with your handgun sights To adjust twist the laser slightly or push on it on one side or the other test and repeat Once you find the optimal alignment for your handgun make a small pencil mark on the sticker at the end of the laser indicating the north south direction This will allow for rapid alignment in future practice sessions Fully Assembled _ ees DISASSEMBLY 1 Unplug the laser from the barrel 2 Open the slide and lock it open Remove the magazine by depressing the magazine catch and extracting the magazine and attached wire You may have to gently wiggle the magazine at the end of the process to help the long flexible wire clear the chamber 3 There is no harm in leaving the magnet on the gun s trigger but you can easily remove it if you prefer Make sure you store it in a safe place away from children and animals and be careful that it doesn t wander toward metal It is a relatively strong magnet E TROUBLESHOOTING e If the gun sits for more than 11 minutes the laser will time out and automatically shut off To turn it back on make sure the trigger is in its most forward position and push the button on the bottom of the magazine e If the laser is false firing firing at times when you have not pulled the trigger try first ensuring the trigg
