From flat the battery will take approximately 3 hours to fully charge Once the battery is fully charged remove the charging plug from the handle switch off the charger at the mains socket and unplug the charger from the mains socket WARNING DO NOT PULL THE CHARGER BY THE CORD IMPORTANT NOTE when the battery is running low a cut out mechanism will stop the product from working This is to protect the Li lon battery from running completely flat and will maintain the battery life CAUTION do not charge the battery when the surrounding air temperature or the batterys are below 0 C or above 45 C After heavy use or in high temperatures the battery may become warm Allow the product to cool for 15 30 minutes before charging WARNING ONLY USE THE CHARGER PROVIDED WITH THE PRODUCT USING ANY OTHER CHARGER MAY DAMAGE THE PRODUCT AND THE BATTERY Helpline 0870 7944001 Assembly Fitting the trimmer guard onto the base of the head Remove the guard fixing screw from the housing and retain the screw Locate the guard onto the head of the trimmer ensuring that the two location hooks engage into the slots on the trimmer head Push the guard forward until the hooks are fully engaged in the slots Fit the guard fixing screw to secure the guard to the trimmer head fix screw here Fitting the assist handle Pull the arms of the assist handle slightly open so that they will fit over the con necting par2.
