5. operation CALIBRATION Advanced users only IMPORTANT This scale was professionally factory calibrated before shipment and does NOT need to be recalibrated by the end user However if you wish to recalibrate your scale we provide these instructions for calibration Repeat calibration if the display locks on 8888 EEEE or LULL incorrect calibration can occur if you do not follow the steps exactly If your scale does not perform accurately please try replacing your batteries before Weighing tray the tared value of a container will be displayed as a ne you calibrate You will need a calibration weight see below to calibrate this scale NOTE if you do not have access to a calibration weight you can purchase one at your tocat store or in emergency situations you can use coins or weights ie 20US Nickels 100g 200US Nickels 1000g as a calibration weight The JSR 100 JSR 150 require a 100gram weight to calibrate The JSR 600 require a 500gram weight to calibrate 1 Place the scale on a flat very stable surface and turn it ON until the LCD displays 0 0 or 0 00 2 Press and hold the M key for 5 seconds until the display shows CAL then release the key i 3 Press the M key again the display will flash 00 00q or 500 0g 4 Gently place the weight s on the scale and wait 3 seconds The display will show PASS 5 The scale aoes back to weidhina mode Calibration is complete Remove
