Numbers C Numbers refer to the numerical keys only If you activate Use Numerical Keys for Numbers you can use the number keys for numbers and the numeric keys to insert words from the wordlist This method is best for CPUs with a keyboard with numeric keys to the right 6 3 Reading of Suggestions The words in CD ORD s wordlist can be read aloud You activate the reading of the words in Prediction Menu Read Suggestion or in Settings gt Word Prediction Speech When Read Suggestion is activated the words can be read aloud by pointing with the mouse on a word or by moving up and down through the wordlist with hotkeys 42 Word Prediction Point with the mouse Point with the mouse on a word to have it read Move up and down among words in the wordlist The words are also read if you go up and down the words with Ctrl Arrow Down og Ctrl Arrow Up These hotkeys are standard in CD ORD 6 4 Scrolling in the wordlist When you scroll in the wordlist you can see the suggestions not shown in the window with the wordlist You scroll by clicking on the arrows at the bottom and top of the wordlist window You scroll forward to see more words with the beginning you have typed you click on the arrow at the bottom To scroll back you click on the top arrow You can scroll with either mouse or hotkeys The hotkeys are default Ctrl Pg Up and Ctrl Pg Dn to scroll forward and backwards in the wordlist If you have a

Own Words is a supplement to the main dictionary It is words that are absent in the main dictionary you use So it is recommended that words placed in this list are ordinary words or words that are often used when writing The dictionary Own Words is a personal dictionary Thus it is most suitable when individual persons use the program i e when CD ORD it is used as a personal aid or when you use Windows login for the individual users of the computer 15 5 About alternative suggestions With alternative suggestions you get a good supplement to the ordinary suggestions s it is the program contains really good opportunities to support the writing process with the context based suggestions You avoid many spelling mistakes inside a word or in the end of a word because the right word will probably be shown in the wordlist when you have typed a few letters You get an extra support with the alternative suggestions if you have problems with the first letters or with making the connection between sound and letter You get support at the beginning of words if you have difficulties distinguishing between vowel qualities or type with silent letters If you write as it sounds the correct spelling will be shown in the list If you write without looking in the wordlist or do not capture the right word in the wordlist CD ORD will keep coming with alternative suggestions Therefore the alternative suggestions are also a great help if you make spelling mist
