FieldNet Kit Part No 1 0290 Installation Manual Part number 1 1335 Revision C Issue Date April 2009 erik dr a Seica Geosystems Figure 1 FieldNET Kit 1 INTRODUCTION FieldNET is designed for real time guidance operations between multiple vehicles operating in one paddock Each vehicle is required to be operating a compatible guidance system with a FieldNET system Once activated each vehicle will be able see the location and the treatment data from all other vehicles in the paddock 1 1335 Rev C FieldNET kit Installation Manual Page 1 RNEX 2 INSTALLATION The installation of the FieldNET system is simple and straightforward 1 The whip antenna should be firstly screwed to the magnetic base and secured finger tight Carefully uncoil the coaxial cable which affixed to the mag base ensuring that kinks or knots are left in the cable The mag base should be located on the roof of the vehicle clear of all other antennae by 1m or greater The antenna does not need to be located alongside the GPS antenna Route the coaxial cable to inside the cab where the radio modem will be installed Ensure that the cable is secured to the vehicle so that no sharp kinks are made to the cable and that it does not run alongside any other power cables Mount the radio modem in the tractor using the supplied screws or velcro strips so that it may connect to the compatible guidance system and the external whip a2. ntenna Connect the USB data cable from the radio modem to the USB connector in the compatible guidance system Connect the radio modem 12Vdc power cable to a suitable 12Vdc power supply Ensure that all cables are secured and do not obstruct the vision of the operator or impede the correct operation of the vehicle It is recommended that all electrical wiring should be installed by a qualified auto electrician Incorrect wiring may damage the system and or vehicle if not installed correctly 3 OPERATION Once installed follow the operational instructions in the FieldNET chapter of the guidance system user manual 1 1335 Rev C FieldNET kit Installation Manual Page 2
