1. 11 Diagnostics Chart Overload Chart Additional LED Flashes Contact Information Page 12 Optional Features Contact dealer for more information PAGE 3 450 SERIES WARRANTY OWNER S MANUAL Applicated Security Technologies Inc AST promises to the original purchaser to repair or replace with a comparable reconditioned model any AST control module Module excluding without limitation the any other accessories including but not limited to the antenna remote siren and wiring harness proves to be defective in workmanship or material under reasonable use during the lifetime of the vehicle it was originally installed provided the following conditions have been met the module was professionally installed and serviced by an authorized AST dealer the unit will be professionally reinstalled in the vehicle in which it was originally installed by an authorized AST dealer the warranty information card was sent to AST within 10 days of the original installation date Any warranty returns include a warranty return authorization number issued by AST original bill or sale and be pre paid shipped directly to AST After an initial period of 2 years from the date of installation AST reserves the right at its sole discretion to charge a warranty processing fee of 30 00 USD AST does not cover the cost for return freight on warranty items this cost is the sole responsibility of the purch

While the system is disarmed and the ignition is in the off position the LEDs will activate from the following triggers 1 If the door is opened the LEDs will stay on until the door is closed 2 If the hood is opened the LEDs will stay on until the hood is closed 3 If the shock sensor detects vibration the LEDs will turn on momentarily 4 If the auxiliary sensor input is activated the LEDs will activate momentary PAGE 11 450 SERIES DIAGNOSTICS OWNER S MANUAL ALARM STATUS DIAGNOSTICS If the alarm system is triggered the system will retain in memory the cause of the trigger When disarming the alarm the siren horn will chirp 3 times to indicate the alarm had been triggered The system s LED will also flash in pulses to indicate which input triggered the alarm LED status will be cleared when the ignition is turned ON For proper memory clearing insure to connect the alarm ignition input to the ignition on the vehicle SIREN CHIRPS LED FLASHES DIAGNOSTICS STATUS 3 2 SHOCK SENSOR TRIGGER 3 3 DOOR HOOD TRIGGER 3 4 IGNITION TRIGGER 0 OFF SYSTEM DISARMED 0 ON SOLID SYSTEM IN VALET SERVICE MODE 0 SINGLE FLASHES SYSTEM ARMED 0 RAPID FLASHES PASSIVE ARM COUNTDOWN ALARM STATUS DIAGNOSTICS If an output from the alarm is shorted the siren will chirp 4 times and the park lights will flash 4 times when the system is armed or disarmed The LED will flash a diagnostic code

PRESS amp HOLD button number 4 on the remote transmitter for 3 seconds the release Siren will chirp 5 times and lights will flash This feature helps in locating vehicle in a busy parking lot It allows you hear and see your vehicle from a distance PAGE 9 450 SERIES TRANSMITTER FUNCTIONS OWNER S MANUAL AUX OUTPUT The Aux output can be programmed for a variety of custom applications It is activated by button 3 Please check with your installation center on use and activation for this option IGNITION AUTO LOCKS This optional feature can be programmed to automatically lock the doors when the ignition key is turned to the on position then automatically unlock the doors when the ignition key is turned to the off position PASSIVE ARMING The Passive Arming feature is used to ensure that the vehicle is not left with the alarm disarmed Type 1 When programmed for Passive Arming Type 1 the system will automatically arm and lock optional the doors 30 seconds after the last door is closed Type 2 When programmed for Passive Arming with Rearm Type 2 the system will automatically arm and lock optional the doors 30 seconds after the unlock button is pressed on the remote STARTER DISABLE Starter Disable is a feature that is designed to help prevent the theft of your vehicle When the alarm is armed the system will interrupt the vehicles starter wire thus disabling the vehicle from starting Disarming the alarm
4. will re enable the start circuit and allow the vehicle to start DOME LIGHT SUPERVISION This feature is designed to turn on the interior or exterior lights of your vehicle when the Disarm Unlock button is pressed The light circuit will stay active for up to 30 seconds or until the ignition key is turned to the on position 450 SERIES PAGE 10 OWNER S MANUA SHOCK SENSOR SHOCK SENSOR ADJUSTMENTS 1 ENTER SHOCK SENSOR ADJUSTMENT MODE O Press amp HOLD Lock Unlock buttons at the same time Continue to hold for 3 5 seconds Until Siren Chirps 3 times 3 GHIRPS Note System will Arm or Disarm via silent arming prior to entering adjustment mode 2 ADJUSTING SENSOR Each time the lock button is pressed and released the sensitivity will be INCREASED by 1 level This is confirmed by a series of park light flashes amp Siren Chirps 1 Flash Chirp is the least sensitive setting 10 Flashes Chirps is the most sensitive setting Each time the unlock button is pressed and released the sensitivity will be DECREASED by 1 level This is confirmed by a series of park light flashes amp Siren Chirps 1 Flash Chirp is the least sensitive setting 10 Flashes Chirps is the most sensitive setting 3 EXITING SENSOR ADJUSTMENT MODE Press amp HOLD Lock Unlock buttons at the same time NOTE Shock Sensor Adjustment Mode has an auto time out of 8 seconds ADDITIONAL LED FUNCTIONS

8. aser All components included with the original packaged unit other than the module including but not limited to the siren antenna and the remote transmitters carry a one year warranty from the date of purchase of the same Any warranty returns on components must include a warranty return authorization number issued by AST original bill or sale and be pre paid shipped directly to AST This warranty is non transferable and is automatically void if the original purchaser has not completed the warranty card and mailed it within ten 10 days of the date of purchase to the address listed on the card the unit s date code or serial number is defaced missing or altered the unit has been modified or used in a manner contrary to its intended purpose the unit has been damaged by accident unreasonable use neglect improper service installation or other causes not arising out of defects in materials or construction The warranty does not cover damage to the unit caused by installation or removal of the unit AST at its sole discretion will determine what constitutes excessive damage and may refuse the return of any unit with excessive damage including but not limited to overloading moisture and physical damage To the maximum extent allowed by law any and all warranties are excluded by the manufacturer and each entity participating in the stream of commerce therewith This exclusion includes but is not limited to the exclusion of any and all warrant
9. m Option Turn the Ignition Key ON Leaving the key ON a a Siren will chip 5 times to confirm Valet Mode Emergency Override ___5 CHIRPS ON has been activate or 2 times for deactivate If alarm was in a triggered _ 2 CHIRPS OFF state the siren will shut off and park lights will stop flashing The LED status light will be OFF to confirm Valet Mode is NOT ACTIVE and system The LED status light will come on STEADY to confirm Valet Mode is ACTIVE is in normal alarm operation mode 450 SERIES PAGE 6 OWNER S MANUA TRANSMITTER FUNCTIONS PRESS amp RELEASE K ARM SYSTEM LOCK DOORS 1 Press and release the Arm Lock button on the remote transmitter 2 The park lights will flash and the siren horn will chirp one time 3 The doors will lock and the Starter Disable will activate optional 4 The LED will start flashing within five seconds 5 Once Armed the alarm can be triggered by the shock sensor impact to vehicle door inputs opening door hood turning on ignition NOTES If a door is open or delay dome light is 30 seconds after arming system with chirp times to indicate door input is bypassed until door is closed or dome light turns off If system is programmed for silent arming siren will not chirp when arming but park lights will still flash If system is in valet mode doors will lock but siren will not chirp and lights will not flash LED indicator will be on solid See Valet
