Operating Instructions Thank you for choosing a Goldair Platinum Electronic Dehumidifier This Goldair Dehumidifier has been designed and manufactured to high standards of engineering and with proper use and care as described in this leaflet will give you years of useful service Please read these instructions carefully 10 11 12 13 14 15 Use only the voltage specified on the rating label of the appliance Keep all objects at least 1 metre from the front sides and rear of the appliance Do not place appliance close to radiant heat source Do not operate in areas where petrol paint or other flammable liquids are used or stored Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock fire or damage to the appliance Do not sit on the appliance Do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner Return to a qualified electrical person for examination electrical service or repair This appliance is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use Use this appliance only as described in this manual Any other use is not recommended by the manufacturer and may cause fire electrical shock or injury The common cause of overheating is deposits of dust or fluff in the Dehumidifier Ensure these deposits are removed regularly by unpluggin

Australia Monday Friday 8am 5pm Phone 61 0 3 9336 4423 Phone 1300 465 324 info cdbgoldair com au CDB 4 GOLDAIR Thank you for purchasing this Goldair Platinum product Your product is warranted against faults and manufacture when used in normal domestic use for a period of three years In non domestic use Goldair limits the voluntary warranty to three months Goldair undertake to repair or replace this product at no charge if found to be defective due to a manufacturing fault during the warranty period This warranty excludes damage caused by misuse neglect shipping accident incorrect installation or work carried out by anyone other than a qualified electrical service technician PLEASE KEEP YOUR RECEIPT AS THIS WILL HELP VERIFY YOUR WARRANTY The benefits given to you by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available to you under law in relation to the goods or services to which this warranty relates In Australia our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure In New Zealand this warranty is additional to the conditions and guarantees of the Consumers Guarantee Act 1993

D TIMER button twice the digital Timer display will flash Use the Up and Down buttons to set the length of time before you want the unit to turn itself On automatically The Timer will cycle through the time settings in 1hr increments as follows 00 01 02 03 through to 12 hours Press the HUMID TIMER button a third time to exit the Timer setting function OSCILLATE Press the SWING button to activate the oscillation function CHILD LOCK Press the CHILD LOCK button to lock the control panel press and hold the button for 3 seconds to turn the function on the indicator light will illuminate and the unit will beep all other buttons will be unresponsive press and hold the button for another 3 seconds to turn the function off the indicator light will turn off and the unit will beep PLASMA Press the PLASMA button to activate the lonizer air purifier function The fan will begin to operate in Low speed and the Louvre will rise and hold at the top Press the PLASMA button again to turn the lonizer air purifier off INDICATOR LIGHTS Power Indicator will be on when the machine is working in the dehumidifying mode Water Tank Full Indicator will be on when the water tank is full and the machine will stop working Defrost Indicator will be on when the machine is defrosting this light will be flashing when the temperature sensor is open circuit or short circuit Plasma Indication will be on when the PLASMA fu

MODE button to select the Focus mode the air will stop coming out of the front louvres and will come out from the vent on the back of the machine Connect the Y pipe to the vent to allow the dry air to pass through the pipe this is the shoe drying function IMPORTANT INFORMATION When using the shoe dryer and focus mode you must remove the green filter from the dehumidifier Failure to do so may result in the unit over heating and shutting down You should replace the filter when finished with the shoe dryer NOTE If the power supply is interrupted suddenly the machine will stop for 3 minutes then start again automatically TIMER There are two options when using the timer function When the Dehumidifier is running you can set the timer to turn off the unit after X amount of hours In order to do this whilst the Dehumidifier is running press the TIMER button twice the digital Timer display will flash Use the Up and Down buttons to set the length of time you want the unit to run before turning itself Off The Timer will cycle through the time settings in 1hr increments as follows 00 01 02 03 through to 12 hours Press the HUMID TIMER button a third time to exit the Timer setting function When the unit is off you can set the timer to turn the Dehumidifier on after X amount of hours In order to do this whilst the Dehumidifier is off but still plugged into a power outlet and switched on at the mains press the HUMI
6. age tube to the drain spout and ensure that the end of the tube is lower than the drain opening otherwise the water will not drain and flooding may occur Also ensure the water tank is in position in the unit otherwise the continuous drainage will not operate Place the end of the drainage hose ina drainage outlet When you no longer wish to use the permanent water drainage disconnect the drainage tube from the device Ensure that the water tank is positioned correctly PERMANENT PERMANENT WATER DRAINAGE WATER DRAINAGE TUBE SPOUT CARE AND CLEANING Always keep the air filter clean to avoid unnecessary power consumption and provide optimal efficiency Do not attempt to dismantle the Dehumidifier There are no user serviceable parts For service or repair contact an authorised electrical service technician To clean the air filter Switch the unit off and remove plug from socket Remove the filter Clean the filter with a vacuum or with water Dry the filter Ensure the filter is completely dry before placing back in the unit The exterior may be cleaned with a soft dry cloth If the device is extremely dirty wipe the device with a slightly damp not wet cloth Never spray the device with water Do not attempt to dismantle the Dehumidifier There are no user serviceable parts For service or repair contact an authorised electrical service technician STORAGE To store the unit remove the plug from the socket and empty th

10. nction is activated Child Lock Indicator will be on when the Child Lock function is activated Swing Indicator will be on when the oscillation function is activated DEFROST When the Dehumidifier is operating in low temperatures the unit will go into a defrost cycle This is to remove any ice that has accumulated on the interior of the unit as a result of its operation The temperature and humidity in the room will determine how often the Dehumidifier goes into its defrost cycle This Dehumidifier is designed to provide an optimum performance It is not recommended to operate in ambient temperature exceeding 35 C or Lower than 5 MEMORY FUNCTION If power supply is cut off when the appliance is running it will automatically restart in the last working mode once power is restored WATER DRAINAGE When the machine is on and the water tank is full The compressor and the fan will automatically stop working The unit will beep 10 times The Water Full indicator light will turn on Empty the water tank and replace it in the correct position The Dehumidifier will continue dehumidifying when the compressor automatically restarts after three minutes If desired it is possible to connect a drainage tube not supplied to the device for permanent water drainage If this option is desired you will need to purchase a suitable tube from your local hardware retailer Goldair does not hold tubes as spare parts Connect the drain
11. nt humidity level will be indicated as follows Lo lt S30 RH from 35 to 75 RH Relative Humidity in 5 increments and Hi 280 RH is positioned SET THE HUMIDITY Press the HUMID TIMER button once to set the desired humidity the existing humidity setting will flash on the digital display Use the Up and Down buttons to cycle through the settings as follows Continuous Operation CO from 35 to 75 RH in 5 increments The units default humidity setting can be adjusted on this model To do this when the unit is Off press the HUMID TIMER button once the existing humidity setting will flash on the digital display Use the Up and Down buttons to cycle through the settings as follows Continuous Operation CO from 35 to 75 RH in 5 increments NOTE When the sensor detects an ambient humidity level 1 lower than the set level the compressor will turn off and the fan will continue to run Once the ambient humidity level increases to 5 higher than the set level the compressor will turn back on and continue to dehumidify When the machine is On press and hold the UP and Down buttons for 5 seconds the digital display will show the ambient room temperature IMPORTANT DEHUMIDIFIER NEVER COVER THIS MODE Press the MODE button to set the desired mode AUTO TURBO QUIET or FOCUS AUTOMATIC MODE In Automatic Mode when the humidity and temperature sensor detect the ambient humidity is 1 RH less than the set humidit
12. r this Dehumidifier Components of your Dehumidifier This Dehumidifier is rated to extract 25L per day in an environment of 80 humidity and temperature of 30 C This is the world wide standard for rating dehumidifiers In New Zealand we do not have climatic conditions with this humidity and high temperature Accordingly the extraction levels may be lower CONTROL N E HANDLEN AIR ee SHOE DRY OUTLET j gt gt SA VENT LOUVRE WATER TANK CONTROL PANEL AMBIENT TIMER HUMID TIMER HUMIDITY SETTING ON h eC WATER TANK FULL AUTO TURBO QUIET FOUCS y HUMID wy Fo SWING PLASMA CHILD LOCK POWER Always choose a safe location for the Dehumidifier keeping in mind the safety precautions outlined Ensure all packaging has been removed from the unit before use This appliance requires no installation it should be used solely as a portable appliance WARNING Keep all objects at least 1 metre from the front sides and rear of the appliance Ensure all external windows and doors are closed before turning on the unit OPERATION Leave the appliance to stand for two hours after transport or after the unit has been on its side before connecting it to the mains supply to let the refrigerant settle Ensure that the water container correctly Plug into power supply Press the POWER button to turn the unit On The digital display will show the current ambient humidity and operating mode The current ambie
13. y the compressor will stop and the fan will work in Low speed When the ambient humidity is 5 RH more than set humidity the compressor and fan motor will work according to the default settings below A When the temperature is lower than 24 C and the set humidity is 60 RH the fan will operate in Low speed B When the temperature is between 24 25 C and the set humidity is 55 RH the fan will operate in Medium speed C When the temperature is over 25 C and the set humidity is 50 RH the fan will operate in High speed NOTE When the unit is set to Automatic Mode the Humidity will automatically be set and the use of the Up and Down buitons will not function TURBO MODE Within the continuous dehumidifying mode you can also increase the fan speed To do this press the MODE button until the Turbo flashes on the electronic display QUIET MODE When quiet mode is selected and the desired humidity is set the compressor will stop and the unit will operate on low speed when the ambient humidity is 1 RH lower than the set humidity When the ambient humidity is 5 RH higher than the set humidity the compressor will start and fan will continue to operate on Low speed In quiet mode press and hold the mode key for 3 seconds for the LED control panel to dim and the control keys will operate silently NOTE The water tank full beep indicator will not beep while in silent mode when the water tank is full FOCUS MODE Press the
