3. attributable to misuse abuse accident or non observance of manufacturer s instructions on the part of the user As far as the law permits the manufacturer does not accept liability for any direct or consequential loss damage or other expense caused by or arising out of any failure to use the Goods in accordance with the manufacturer s instructions 5 Exhaustible components such as batteries filters and brushes of the Goods are included under this Warranty only where there is a defect in workmanship or materials used 6 The warranty granted under clause 3 is limited to repair or replacement only 7 Any parts of the Goods replaced during repairs or any product replaced remain the property of the manufacturer In the event of the Goods being replaced during the Warranty Period the warranty on the replacement Goods will expire on the same date as for the Warranty Period on the original Goods which are replaced 8 In order to claim under the warranty granted under clause 3 you must a Retain this warranty with your receipt proof of purchase and b Return the Goods to us at the relevant address or to the Supplier by prepaid freight within the Warranty Period accompanied with i the legible and unmodified original proof of purchase which clearly indicates the name and address of the Supplier the date and place of purchase the product name or other product serial number and ii this warranty 9 This warranty is immediately void if

5. the silver charging electrodes on the charging station IMPORTANT Place the charging station securely against the wall or it might be moved by the vacuum making it difficult for the cleaner to dock and charge If your charging station isn t operating correctly it may be necessary to re synchronise it with the R Vac using the following steps Turn off the vacuum and switch on the docking station Using a paperclip or similar press in the internal synchronise button and keep it pressed in Switch on the vacuum using the Power switch 2S s Release the internal synchronise button after the R Vac has emitted a series of beeps indicating it has synchronised NOTE If you fail to hear any beeping during the synchronising repeat the above process MAINTENANCE IMPORTANT INFORMATION Your R Vac may vacuum for you for up to 2 hours but will need approximately 5 minutes of your time after every use to keep it operating in peak condition and to avoid any damage REMOVING AND REPLACING THE DUST BIN 1 Place the vacuum on the ground or on a stable surface 2 Press the button on the dust bin down Refer to Figure 1 and extract the bin by pulling it away from the unit Refer to Figure 2 Figure 1 _ Figure 2 3 To replace the dust bin push it back into the vacuum until it clicks into place 15 CLEANING THE DUST BIN Remove the dust bin 2 Press the two side clips See Figure 1 on the dust b

R Vac working for you by following our 3 quick steps 1 Install R Vac s rechargeable battery page 6 2 Charge your R Vac page 8 3 Press the AUTO button to have your home vacuumed for you page 9 Once your R Vac has vacuumed your home it is important to give it a little attention Please spend approximately 5 minutes after each cycle cleaning your R Vac By giving your R Vac this attention it will save you hours of vacuuming each week as well as providing you with a more thorough clean Please refer to the cleaning instructions on page 15 BATTERY INSTALLATION AND REPLACEMENT Installing and replacing the rechargeable battery e wo hf gt Place the robotic vacuum cleaner upside down on a flat stable surface Using the screwdriver provided remove the screws on the battery cover Refer to Figure 1 Lift the battery cover away from the unit Attach the connector on the battery with the connector in the battery compartment by pushing them together until they click into place and are firmly secured Refer to Figure 2 IMPORTANT The connectors will only fit together one way Do not try to force them together if they are not correctly aligned S Hold the battery by the material tabs and lower it into the battery compartment while guiding the cables and connectors into the cavity provided in the bottom of the battery compartment Replace the battery cover and screws Return the vacuum to its upright position Place t

9. before removing the battery from the vacuum Remove the vacuum battery by lifting it out of the battery compartment using the material tabs on each side of the battery Disconnect the connector plugs Store the vacuum and battery in a cool dry environment Do not drop or exert external force on the battery Do not attempt to charge the battery from another power source The battery must be recycled in a safe manner check with your local recycler Do not dispose of your battery in a fire In case of battery leakage do not allow the liquid to contact exposed skin or clothes IMPORTANT Store the R Vac Remote Control Space Isolator Charging Station and Batteries in a dry environment below 45 C Old batteries should be recycled safely CHARGING YOUR R Vac Manual charge 1 Manually place the vacuum on charge there are 2 manual charging options a Using the adapter only plugged directly into the DC socket located next to the ON OFF switch or b With the adapter connected to the charging station place vacuum onto the charging station NOTE The vacuum will charge when the Power switch is in the ON or OFF position NOTE The power indicator will flash when the vacuum is charging 2 Charge for at least 12 14 hours before first use or if the vacuum has not been used for an extended period of time 3 When the vacuum is fully charged the power indicator will stop flashing and will remain illuminated For the first c
10. c and will only operate when the R Vac is not located on the charging station For general daily use we recommend using the remote control to start the R Vac from the charging station AUTO button Automatic Cleaning IMPORTANT Before using your vacuum clear any clutter or loose cords in the area you intend to clean The AUTO button is the main method most people use to start their R Vac Press the AUTO button to let R Vac start cleaning Once R Vac starts it uses an algorithm to work through the room with a series of patterns a series of zig zags increasing spirals and edge following to maximise coverage During this time the R Vac can cover areas more than once don t be concerned by this it is part of the normal cleaning process Press any button on the control panel to stop the vacuum cleaning SPOT button spot cleaning The SPOT button is ideal to clean up small spills Pressing the SPOT button will automatically clean an area of approximately 1 square meter The vacuum will operate in spiral mode for 3 minutes and then switch itself off NOTE To stop the vacuum when in spot cleaning mode press any button on the control panel CHARGE button IMPORTANT Ensure you have the Charging Station set up Press the CHARGE button and the vacuum will automatically stop the vacuum motor to preserve power and search for the charging station This is achieved by methodically working through the cleaning area and periodically
11. ess the lt gt buttons to scroll between the Hour and Minutes setting and using the A and Y buttons to set the start cleaning time 4 When the desired start time is shown lock in the time by pressing the SET button B Pre Set the Weekday The numbers at the top of the screen represent days of the week 1 Monday 2 Tuesday 3 Wednesday 4 Thursday 5 Friday 6 Saturday 7 Sunday 11 Press the SET button then press lt The square around a number at the top of the screen will then begin to flash Press the and Y buttons to scroll through the weekdays Oo at OF ol Select the days you would like to schedule your vacuum to clean by pressing the OK button this will underline your number Alternatively press the ALL button if you would like to schedule the vacuum to clean every day IMPORTANT Your R Vac will continue to clean at the scheduled time even if the bin is full or the brushes require cleaning You should empty your dust bin and clean the brushes after every clean NOTE Underlined numbers represent days that are scheduled NOTE You can also press the OK button to deselect days SPEED selection Your R Vac is fitted with a variable speed function which allows the speed of your robot vacuum to be set to one of two levels The standard setting is fast which maximises area coverage For areas where extra vacuuming is required you

13. harge if this occurs prior to 12 14 hours of charging ignore the light and leave the vacuum on charge Automatic charge When the battery power is at a low level the vacuum will emit a series of beeps then automatically stop vacuum motor to preserve energy and search for the charging station The Charge button will illuminate while it is searching If the charging station is detected the vacuum will then make its way to the charging station dock automatically and begin to charge Once on charge the Power indicator will illuminate and flash If the charging station is not set up and the vacuum will continue searching until the battery runs out completely FUNCTIONS Power switch located on the side of the vacuum The power switch is designed to isolate your battery to maximise the effective life When not using charging your vacuum for an extended time you should set the power switch to the OFF position To use your R Vac switch the Power switch to ON and the vacuum will go into standby mode The Power indicator light will illuminate and flash if the battery is not full Tips e The power indicator light will illuminate when the vacuum is in operation e The power indicator with flash when the vacuum is charging e When the vacuum is fully charged the power indicator will stop flashing and will remain illuminated The following function buttons AUTO SPOT amp CHARGE are located on the control panel on top of the R Va
14. he vacuum on charge there are 2 charging options a Using the adapter only plugged directly into the DC socket located next to the ON OFF switch or b With the adapter connected to the charging station and plugged into a wall power outlet then place vacuum onto the charging station NOTE The vacuum will charge when the Power switch is in the ON or OFF position NOTE The power indicator will flash when the vacuum is charging c Allow the vacuum to charge for at least 12 14 hours before first use or if it has not been used for an extended period of time d After charging for at least 12 14 hours your vacuum is ready for use e When the vacuum is fully charged the power indicator will stop flashing and will remain illuminated For the first charge if this occurs prior to 12 14 hours of charging ignore the light and leave the vacuum on charge IMPORTANT When not in use keep the vacuum on charge to get the best performance from the battery Alternatively switch the Power switch to the OFF position when not in use IMPORTANT Only use the rechargeable battery recommended for R Vac Do not use any other rechargeable batteries for this vacuum Figure 1 f Battery Cautions l wo s oY or e 8 If you are no longer using or intend storing the vacuum for an extended period of time remove the batteries from the vacuum space isolator and remote control Set the Power Switch to OFF

17. keep it pressed in Switch on the vacuum using the Power switch Release the internal synchronise button after the R Vac has emitted a series of beeps indicating it has synchronised NOTE If you fail to hear any beeping during synchronisation repeat the above process Positioning your Space Isolator The space isolator creates an invisible line which acts as a barrier that your vacuum cleaner will not pass Place the space isolator against the wall with the signal transmitter facing the area you would like to act as a barrier 13 CHARGING STATION LED indicator Infrared signal transmitting window Internal synchronise button on back of S charging station T MM es aS Charging electrode D DC socket JA The Charging Station is synchronised with your vacuum cleaner prior to purchase Automatic Charging 1 Position the charging station on a hard level surface against a wall 2 Ensure there are no obstacles 3 metres in front of the docking station or 0 5 metres on the right and left IMPORTANT Ensure the infrared signal transmitting window on the docking station is not covered otherwise the vacuum will not be able to find the charging station 3 Connect the output terminal of the adaptor with DC socket on the charging station Refer to Figure 2 14 4 Place your R Vac on the charging station with the silver auto charging electrodes on the front of the R Vac in contact with
18. may wish to select the slow setting to allow the R Vac to provide a more concentrated clean by passing over areas at a slower speed To vary your R Vac s speed press the SPEED button on the remote control Select fast or slow mode using the remote control NOTE The default speed setting of the vacuum is fast mode DIRECTION buttons Use the direction buttons to steer your R Vac to a desired location CAUTION Do not drive the R Vac in reverse towards drop offs or ledges The edge drop detection sensors only function when the vacuum is travelling in the forward direction SPACE ISOLATOR Signal transmitter Power indicator light Power switch Internal synchronise button The Space Isolator is synchronised with your vacuum cleaner prior to purchase 12 SPACE ISOLATOR BATTERY INSTALLATION amp REPLACEMENT 1 Open the cover on the base of the Space Isolator 2 Insert AA batteries not included with correct polarity 3 Replace the cover on the base of the Space Isolator IMPORTANT Remove the batteries if the Space Isolator will not be used for an extended period of time If your space isolator isn t operating correctly it may be necessary to re synchronise it with the R Vac using the following steps 1 Turn off the vacuum and switch on the Space Isolator the power indicator should illuminate amp begin to flash Using a paperclip or similar press in the internal synchronise button and
19. ner to pick up any of the following do not attempt to pick up liquid this cleaner is designed for dry substances only do not pick up items that may ignite spontaneously e g matches pieces of firelighter do not pick up anything burning or smouldering e g cigarette ends ashes or embers do not pick up spillage from toner cartridges the fine carbon particles may attached to the brushes and be spread throughout the cleaning area do not pick up cement or plaster dust these can combine with moisture in the air clog the filter and possibly cause the motor to overheat and burn out donot pick up sharp objects they may pierce the filter and damage the motor do not pick up biological waste you will eventually have to clean it off the filter and there is a possibility of viral particles passing through the filter and entering your air supply Do not use the cleaner for any purpose other than those described in these instructions 15 16 17 Use only the accessories supplied with the appliance Do not leave the appliance sitting in sunlight Prolonged exposure to UV rays may damage the plastic For added safety electrical appliances should be connected to a power outlet that is protected by a residual current device RCD also often referred to as a Safety Switch Your switchboard may already incorporate an RCD If unsure call an electrician for verification and fitting if necessary SAVE T
20. r brush up and away from the vacuum see Figure 2 amp 3 For the main brush use the cleaning brush to remove hair and dust If there is hair yarn and other twisted objects around the brushes carefully cut them using scissors and gently pull them off the brushes by hand Remove the circular rubber bearing on the end of each brush and remove any dust or hair build up Replace by pushing it back onto the brush end To re install the main brush amp floor brush into the vacuum align the drive ends of the brushes with the lugs on the opposite side of the locking tab place the brushes into their original position then close the locking tab until it clicks securely into place NOTE If the locking tab cannot be closed check that the circular rubber bearings have correctly located into their corresponding recesses 17 REMOVING REPLACING AND CLEANING UNDER THE SIDE BRUSH Using a screw driver release the screw in the main shaft of the side brush see Figure 4 2 Remove the side brush and clean the cavity with the dust cleaning brush 3 Place the side brush back into position and refit the screw k REMOVING REPLACING AND CLEANING THE FRONT WHEEL 1 Remove the entire front wheel assembly using a flat head screw driver from the front of the unit position the screw driver down and under the front wheel assembly Pop the wheel assembly out using the screw driver and clean the cavity 2 Remove the wheel using a
