7. e replaced REPLACING THE FILTERS Follow the Filter Replacement Instructions page 8 to change the filters After replacing the filters with the power off press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to reset the indicator light The built in timer for the filter replacement indicator is 4 320 hours Note The expected filter lifetime is 6 months if used 24 hours daily or 12 months if used 12 hours daily PRE FILTER MAINTENANCE e The pre filter is not washable e It can be gently vacuumed using hand tool attachments no rotating brushes e Do not use any solutions brushes or sharp objects to clean the pre filter as this can damage the filter ACTIVATED CARBON HEPA FILTER REPLACEMENT e The Activated Carbon HEPA filter is not washable e The Activated Carbon HEPA filter can be used for about 1 year or 6 months if used continuously but its actual life depends on air quality condition and proper maintenance FILTER REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS The ION420 comes with the filters fitted inside but you may need to remove plastic packaging from the filters before the first use of the air purifier When replacing with new filters remove all packaging and place filters into the unit as described below Tip Place the appliance against a wall for more stability wnen you remove or insert filters Note Make sure you insert the filters in the correct position Step 1 Place your fingers in the rece
8. nit is not in use e When removing the power plug always hold the plug and never pull the cord e This air purifier is not a substitute for proper ventilation regular vacuum cleaning or an extractor hood or fan while cooking e Leave at least 20cm of space behind and on both sides of the unit and leave at least 30cm space above the unit e When the unit is in operation please place it at least 2m away from equipment that emits electric waves such as televisions radios and clocks to prevent electrical interference from occurring e Do not use the unit in bathrooms kitchens humid areas near fireplaces or place it in proximity to flammable or combustible products as electric shock and a fire hazard may result e Do not clean the unit with water or any other liquid including flammable products e Never operate the unit if the plug or cord appears damaged Contact the authorised distributor or qualified personnel immediately for examination and repair e Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the air intake or air outlet or block them by placing items on the air outlet or in front of the air intake e Do not place anything on top of the unit and do not sit on the unit e Do not place the unit directly below an air conditioner as condensation may drip into the unit e Do not operate this unit when using indoor insect repellents aerosols or in places with oily residues burning incense or chemical fumes e Do not use
