FLIR LS Series Quick Start Guide Display Brightness Laser Pointer On Off Zoom Eyepiece Power Laser Aperture USB Charging White hot Adjustable Plug Black hot Diopter Instalert Power Button The LS Series camera has three power states On Off and Auto Shutdown e On Takes approximately 4 seconds during bootup the FLIR splash screen is shown on the eyepiece display e Off Push the power button to turn the camera off e Auto Shutdown If no buttons are pushed for about five minutes Auto shutdown 30s is shown in the display and after counting down for 30 seconds the camera will turn off Display Brightness If camera is On press to toggle through five brightness settings Press and hold to turn on Laser symbol in viewfinder followed by Laser turning on 1 second later If camera is Off press and hold to turn on the Laser Pointer White Black Hot Instalert In White Hot hotter items appear as white or light grey In the Black Hot hotter items appear as black or dark grey In Instalert hot items in a scene are highlighted in red Zoom Quick press causes the image to zoom in or out Press and hold to turn on Continuous E zoom feature LS64 models only camera will Zoom in or out gradually until the button is released Press any other button to disable Continuous E zoom mode Diopter Controls The diopter adjustment knob allows adjustment of the eyepiece for optimal viewing Important Read the2. Laser Safety guidelines in the User Manual before operating the camera Class 3R Laser Laser Light Avoid Direct Eye Exposure 431 LS00 00 QS Rev 110 Aug 2012 Charging the Camera To assure proper charging LS Series cameras should be turned OFF throughout the charging cycle Charging MUST only be done when the camera temperature is from 0 to 40 C 32 to 104 F or battery damage may occur The battery in the camera should be fully charged prior to use To charge the camera lift the cover from the USB port plug in the USB cable provided with the camera and also plug itintoa USB power source e When charging correctly the charging indicator will be lit Charging Indicator yellow e When fully charged the charging indicator will light solid green The initial charge time is approximately 4 hours Battery Status Indicator While the camera is On a mer full ch battery status indicator is ree always shown in the corner of half ch the display image This indicator ee provides an estimation of the plugged in remaining battery charge Diopter Controls The diopter adjustment lever allows you to adjust for optimum image sharpness in the eyepiece When the diopter adjustment lever is pointing straight away from the front of the camera it is in the neutral position Adjust the diopter setting for the sharpest image in the viewfinder This document is controlled to FLIR Technology Level 1 Th
