BF AN advancelec r INDUSTRIES INC User Manual AdvanceCommunicator KYOCERA DuraMax E4255 Part AT3080A The AdvanceTec AdvanceCommunicator is an accessory designed to adapt the Kyocera DuraMax E4255 handsets into a Communications Base Station console device num A gt gt Ww WWN DN ID gt 1 Es 5 A o m x Details Features Important Phone Settings Setting up AdvanceCommunicator Installing phone into AdvanceCommunicator Making and receiving calls in Hands free mode Making and receiving call via Handset Use of AdvanceCommunicator with dispatch calls Volume control Recording feature Summary of LED indicators Charging of the battery IMPORTANT PHONE SETTINGS The following phone settings are necessary to enable use of the g phone with the AdvanceCommunicator Press gt Settings gt DC Settings gt Direct Connect ON Press gt Settings gt DC Settings gt Headset Mode gt Headset button starts DC calls DC button Press gt Settings gt Others gt Accessibility gt TTY gt TTY Off Increase or Decrease the volume must be done while phone is connected to the unit and is on an active call Setting up the AT3080A AdvanceCommunicator 1 2 4 Place the AdvanceCommunicator in a convenient position within easy reach of an AC power outlet Attach the plug at the end of the coil cord of the handset into the corresponding RJ45 handset receptacle on the back of t2. he AdvanceCommunicator Plug the power supply into the wall AC power outlet and the round barrel plug at the end of the cord of the power supply into the corresponding power receptacle on the back of the AdvanceCommunicator At this point the LED will flash RED Installing the portable into the AdvanceCommunicator 1 Remove the rubber protective cover from the connector receptacle covering the micro USB connector on the left side of the handset handset facing you and align the micro USB connector at the end on the one cable from the back of the cradle and insert the connector into the handset with the cable facing DOWN Remove the rubber protective cover from the connector receptacle covering the audio connector on the right side of the handset handset facing you and align the pin connector at the end of the other cable from the back of the cradle and insert the connector into the handset with the cable facing UP Insert the bottom of the handset behind the ridge on the cradle and press the top of the handset back into the Cradle until it snaps into place Turn the Handset on To remove the handset from the Cradle press the release button on the top of the cradle The Handset will snap forward out of the cradle Making and Receiving calls in Hands Free Mode 1 To make a call in Hands free mode dial the desired number on the phone keypad and press SEND GREEN BUTTON Speak towards the Microphone which is situated on t
3. he bottom right corner of the AdvanceCommunicator 2 The voice of the person you are calling will be heard via the built in speaker in the AdvanceCommunicator 3 To receive a call in Hands free mode press SEND GREEN BUTTON on the phone or press shortly on the PTT Space bar and speak towards the Microphone The caller s voice will be heard via the built in speaker in the AdvanceCommunicator 4 To end a call in hands free mode press the END button on the phone or press the END RED button on the phone Making and Receiving calls via the Handset 1 To make a call using the AdvanceCommunicator Handset dial the desired number on the phone s keypad and press SEND GREEN button Use the handset as you would with a regular desktop phone 2 To receive a call with the Handset lift the Handset and press the SEND GREEN button on the phone s keypad Use the handset as you would with a regular desktop phone 3 To end a call while using the handset place the handset back into the cradle and press the END RED button Use of the AdvanceCommunicator with Dispatch calls 1 To answer a dispatch call in Hands free mode press and hold down the PTT Space Bar and speak towards the Microphone 5 2 To answer a dispatch call using the handset pick up the handset press and hold down the round PTT button on the back of the Handset and speak into the handset as you would with a regular desktop phone 3 To hear the other party i
