RTX1OO INT USER MANUAL Revised January 24 2008 Features e TrayFree technology RIX100 INT can be used without the use of trays Simply slip in a SATA drive and shut the door e RIX100 INT features LEDs This Standard Bay now comes with a power and access LED e Standard 5 1 4 internally mountable bay same size as most CD ROM drives A spare internal SATA port is required e Bay is lockable for added security e Shock absorbing bay helps protect your drives against jolts e Specially designed SATA connector is designed for thousands of drive insertions Installation Instructions 1 Check the accessories with your RTX100 INT Please contact WiebeTech if any parts are missing or damaged The box should contain the following items Accessories Quantity RTX100 INT t _SATA power cable 1 Manual for installation WiebeTech 2 Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the parts of the RTX100 INT This will help you to better understand the remaining instructions for this TrayFree Standard Bay Shock absorbing sides Rear View Key lock Front View Power LED Access LED Ejection handle SATA power connection SATA connection All RTX TrayFree Bays accept 1TB SATA drives have power and access LEDs and connect to the host via a SATA connection 3 Mount RTX100 INT into your computer In an open 5 bay in your computer install the RT X 100 INT just as you would a CD DVD ROM 4 Plug2. in the data cable The RTX100 INT connects to your CES a computer through SATA One end of the cable connects to the back 5 aa of the unit Insert the other end into an available port on your i AR Ar computer s motherboard or add in card RAL gga 5 Plug in the power Take an unused 4 wire Molex power a connector from inside your computer and attach that to the adapter a ae cable that is included in the packaging There is a 4 wire power et Ei Se ji cable coming off of the adapter cable that plugs into the bridge Enis ghetto board circled in red on the back of the unit This bridge board is oe Cage what powers the LEDs ka S WiebeTech 6 You are now ready to insert SATA drives using TrayFree technology Simply open the bay door slip in a SATA drive and shut the door For extra security use the key lock to lock the door in place Be sure to unlock the door before pulling on the ejection handle If your drive is already formatted you can begin using it right away New hard drives will need to be formatted before they can be used Ae Usage with Windows computers Compatibility The RTX100 INT Internal is fully plug and play with Windows 2000 XP Server 2003 and Vista No additional drivers are needed However the SATA host you are plugging into will probably require driver or firmware installation Formatting Volumes Before you can use your RTX100 INT you must first format the drives into a volume U
