4. engaged disarmed and can t accept voice triggering If the blue backlight of the Sleep Button is steady on then the system is engaged armed and may accept triggering via the Microphone The Panic Button provides a red backlight If this red backlight is steady on then the Panic Button is ready to use Pressing the button will send a message or make a call to all the pre programmed phone numbers up to 8 After a period of time the so called Re trigger Time the Panic button will be illuminate red again indication that it is ready again to trigger a call or a message GSM Baby Phone User Manual Rev 29 01 2013 7 www dsp technology com To setup the product as a Panic Button please follow the steps as described Open the back housing and insert a SIM card with no PIN assigned Connect the plug of the external Wall Plug Power Supply to the DC Jack on the right side of the device Insert the Wall Plug into the Mains outlet The Panic Button will give several short acknowledgment beeps and the blue LED of the Sleep Button should be flashing fast to indicate it is looking for the GSM network Wait until the blue LED is steady on or flashing slowly Now the units is ready to receive and process messages as described underneath Note Using the product as a Panic Button requires the setting of certain variables To simplify the programming the PANIC Profile may be used However all parameters can also be programmed ste

CALL MODE CHANGED CALL MODE CHANGED www dsp technology com Message to Baby Phone Reply from Baby Phone 1111 This command can modify the ALARM MESSAGE SMS1 PLEASE COME alarm message which would ll CHANGED HOME CHILD AWAKE be sent in the event of a cry i ing noisy child 4111 This command changes the USER CODE CHANGED PIN 1234 user code From now on the new user code must be used instead of 1111 These commands are already sufficient to setup the product as a Baby Phone However the interested or advanced user can refer to Chapter 3 User Commands to get an overview of all commands and capabilities 2 02 Setup as GSM Panic Button The product may be used as a GSM Panic Button This function allows the user to press the Panic Button for a period of time to call for help in case of an emergency It may be used by elderly disabled or sick people but also by small children alone at home Furthermore the Panic Button could be used by store clerks to call for help in case of an armed robbery In the Panic Button Mode the user will use the Panic Button The Sleep Button may be used for additional functionality if programmed The Sleep Button includes a blue backlight which indicates the mode of operation If the blue backlight of the Sleep Button is flashing fast then the system tries to connect to the GSM network If the blue backlight of the Sleep Button is flashing slowly then the system is not

8. c Alarm 1111 This command changes the USER CODE CHANGED PIN 1234 user code From now on the new user code must be used instead of 1111 ALARM MESSAGE CHANGED These commands are already sufficient to setup the product as a GSM Panic Button However the interested or advanced user can refer to Chapter 3 User Commands to get an overview of all commands and capabilities 2 03 Setup as Monitoring and Listening Device The product may be used as a Listening Device for silently monitoring conversations CAUTION The user must observe the Privacy Laws of his country In this Mode the user will just use the Sleep Button The Panic Button may be used for additional functionality if programmed The Sleep Button includes a blue backlight which indicates the mode of operation If the blue backlight of the Sleep Button is flashing fast then the system tries to connect to the GSM network If the blue backlight of the Sleep Button is flashing slowly then the system is not engaged disarmed and can t accept triggering from the Inputs If the blue backlight of the Sleep Button is steady on then the system is engaged armed and accept triggering from the Inputs At least one of the two inputs should be set to an Entry Exit Zone This allows the user leav ing the premises without triggering an alarm and entering it and disarming the system without triggering an alarm as well Also the Panic Button includes a red backlight How

13. hand set Those SIM cards are not suit able for usage with the GSM Baby Phone GSM Baby Phone User Manual Rev 29 01 2013 4 www dsp technology com 2 00 Easy Programming with Profiles The GSM Baby Phone can be operated in different modes This requires programming of several different settings and variables To simplify the programming the GSM Baby Phone provides pro gramming of three profiles The Baby Phone Profile to use the product as a GSM Baby Phone Baby Monitor The Panic Button Profile to use the product as a GSM Panic Button o The Listen Profile to use the product as a Monitoring and Listening Device Programming of the GSM Baby Phone is always done in the following three steps Send SMS to your GSM Baby Phone Baby Phone s phone number depends on SIM card inserted containing your four digit user code factory default is 1111 and a command GSM Baby Phone will verify User Code and process command GSM Baby Phone will send an acknowledgement SMS back to the mobile phone which has sent the command 2 01 Setup as GSM Baby Phone The main mode of the GSM Baby Phone is the Baby Phone Mode Baby Monitor Mode This allows the parents to trigger a call or a message when a baby is crying or young children are awake while the parents are not at home or not in the same room Also the device allows the parents to call in and monitor the room at any time In the Baby Phone Mode the user may use both buttons Panic and Sleep The Sl
