6. also be shown To change the count down time follow steps 9 12 To activate the timer press the TIMER button twice holding down on the second press until the letter t appears To start the timer press the PLUS button The letter t will flash while the timer is in operation either counting up or counting down To pause the timer press the MINUS button Indicator point BLOCKICE BLOCKICE ECUUU 17 To restart the timer after a pause press the PLUS button 18 To stop the timer and reset press the TIMER button 19 When the count down timer reaches zero a buzzer will sound and the timer will begin to count up to indicate the over run time To stop the buzzer press the TIMER button CHANGING THE TEMPERATURE UNITS The temperature of the display can be shown in either C or F Indicator point 20 To change the temperature units press the SET button 4 times holding the button down on the fourth press until the indicator point appears next to the letter U units BLOCKICE 21 Press the PLUS button to toggle between C and F 22 A few seconds after the buttons have been released the unit will automatically display the current temperature in the selected units AFTER USE After cooling samples the bucket and beads may be very cold Allow to warm to ambient conditions before lifting from the unit or wear protective gloves Avoid handling cold objects with wet hands USE

8. ave any comments and suggestions on how we can do things better please send them to us at techne bibby scientific com ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Note that this equipment should only be dismantled by properly trained personnel Removing the outer cover exposes potentially lethal mains voltages There are no user serviceable parts within this equipment FAULT FINDING Should you have any problems with your BL CKICE which cannot be easily remedied you should contact your supplier and return the unit if necessary Please include details of the fault observed and remember to return the unit in its original packing Bibby Scientific Ltd accepts no responsibility for damage to units which are not properly packed for shipping if in doubt contact your supplier giving the full serial number of the unit FUSES If the display on the front panel is not lit one of the two fuses may have blown Check that there is no external cause such as a faulty plug or lead Check both fuses and replace the faulty fuse with a new one of the correct value fuse values are given on the label next to the power inlet Note that fuses should only be replaced by a qualified electrician The holder for the two fuses is built into the mains input socket First remove the power cable and then gently prise the fuse drawer open with a flat bladed screwdriver or similar tool Each fuse can be removed by using the screwdriver as a lever Exchange the faulty fuse in the fuse h

10. current set temperature press the SET button The set BLOCKICE temperature will be displayed and is indicated by the set point indicator in the top left hand corner of the display i UL 2 To edit the set temperature press and hold the SET button until the set point indicator moves one position to the right This is the edit position Release the SET button 3 To increase the set temperature whilst the indicator is in the edit position press the PLUS button Holding down the PLUS button will cause the value to increase rapidly A single press of the PLUS or MINUS buttons will increase or decrease the set temperature by 0 1 C Edit Set Point Indicator 4 To decrease the set temperature whilst the indicator is in the edit position BL CKICE press the MINUS button Holding down the MINUS button will cause the value to decrease rapidly A single press of the PLUS or MINUS buttons will increase or decrease the set temperature by 0 1 C 5 Once the set temperature has been changed the unit will heat or cool to the new set temperature A buzzer will sound once a stable temperature has been reached CHANGING THE TIMER MODE The timer can be set to count up count down or be disabled Indicator point 6 To change the timer mode press the SET button twice holding the button down on the second press until the indicator point appears BLOCKICE 7 Press the PLUS button to toggle between d for count down u for coun
