If you connect two surround back speakers and both surround back speakers are not placed an equal distance from your listening position set the distance to the closest speaker Tip The receiver lets you to input the speaker position in terms of distance However it is not possible to set the center speaker further than the front speakers Also the center speaker cannot be set more than 5 feet closer than the front speakers Likewise the surround speakers and the surround back speakers cannot be set further away from the listening position than the front speakers And they can be no more than 15 feet closer This is because incorrect speaker placement is not conducive to the enjoyment of surround sound Please note that setting the speaker distance closer than the actual location of the speakers will cause a delay in the output of the sound from that speaker In other words the speaker will sound like it is further away For example setting the center speaker distance 3 6 feet closer than the actual speaker position will create a fairly realistic sensation of being inside the screen If you cannot obtain a satisfactory surround effect because the surround speakers are too close setting the surround speaker distance closer shorter than the actual distance will create a larger sound stage Adjusting these parameter while listening to the sound often results in much better surround sound Give it a try E PL XXXX XX

WIDE TV VIDEO In steps 2 and 4 the indicator turns off while a valid button is pressed In step 4 if several buttons that can be used for learning are pressed only the last pressed button is valid The indicator flashes slowly it turns ON while a valid button is pressed In step 6 if a button that can be used for learning is pressed the new button is selected and the learning procedure returns to the beginning of step 6 To activate the input source after programming Press the programmed button to activate the input you want To cancel learning Press RM SET UP during any step The remote automatically exits the learning mode To clear the learned codes Start over from step 1 After step 4 press TV I for more than 2 seconds The indicator lights up twice slowly and the learned code is cleared If TV I is pressed less than 2 seconds the learning procedure returns to the beginning of step 6 When a learned code is cleared if the button was previously programmed for another input selector the programmed code for that button can be used To clear the memory of the remote To clear all programmed and learned signals do the following to reset the remote to factory settings Press 1 0 AV 1 and MASTER VOL at the same time The indicator flashes 3 times then goes off To use a command that has been learned When selecting a learned input press the learned button for that input Performing
