User Manual gt FEISOL CM 1401 and CM 1471 A Interchanging the Mounting Screw Size The size of the pre installed Mounting Screw on the monopod CM 1401 is 14 while the size of the pre installed Mounting Screw on the monopod CM 1471 is 3 8 In order to attach Ball Heads or other accessories which require a different size the Mounting screw is reversible and features both common screw sizes on its two ends see picture To reverse the screw use the included 34 socket wrench to loosen the 3 nut at the center of the base and remove it by hand Re attaching it upside down again using the socked wrench will expose the different size thread on the other end Caution Over tightening the screw can damage the threaded hole of your monopod r pala il 6 F601 ne us WWW FEISOL NET B Leg Extension In order to extend a leg section turn the twist lock approximately one half turn in counterclockwise direction Note If the twistlock is turned too far the leg section may fall out and compression rings may become lost or damaged To firmly lock a leg section into place turn the twist lock approximately one half turn in clockwise direction Please do not over tighten C Ball Head optional Installation screw the Ball Head into the mounting screw by turning it clockwise until it fits snugly Please do not over tighten 6 F601 ne us WWW FEISOL NET er D Spike optional Installation Model CM 1401 Rem2. ove the rubber cap on the end of the leg by twisting and working it forward it fits snugly in order to prevent it from coming off accidentally After it is removed a thread is exposed at the tip of the leg into which a long or short spike can be screwed for use on scratch sensitive surfaces remove spike and replace rubber cap Model CM 1471 Remove the rubber cap at the end of the leg by inserting a wooden stick or similar object between the rubber cap and the aluminum ring at the end of the leg see picture By pushing forward around the ring the rubber cap can be removed exposing a thread into which the spike can be screwed and locked tightly into place with the included wrench Once the spike is in place it does not need to be removed again because the metal tip of the spike can be receded into its rubber sleeve when desired for use on scratch sensitive surfaces Please note that damage to your tripod s Carbon Tubes or Aluminum parts can occur when they dropped squeezed overloaded or forced downward eg into sand dunes or snowbanks Please exercise care to avoid such conditions 6 F601 ne us WWW FEISOL NET _
