4. work with clients you will need a computer and printer a specialized microphone included and space to work Just taking vocal prints and printing reports requires little else For sound presentation you can work with a speaker or with headphones If you are going to conduct tone trials you will need biofeedback equipment we use the NONIN pulse oximeter Also useful in tone trials is a SMAD Self Management Auditory Device which makes the tone trials more efficient and certainly less time consuming however trials can be done with only a tonebox The computer software to program toneboxes comes as part of your course Students generally purchase additional toneboxes to use with clients J What if I cannot afford the biofeedback equipment You can offer sound presentation without biofeedback equipment but the process may take longer Also if you cannot afford to buy the equipment most local medical supply stores will rent pulse oximeters temperature gauges and other feedback equipment SMADs are only available for purchase through Sound Health Do I have to have a special room to work in It is recommended that you have a SOUND DEAD room for you and a SOUND ACTIVE room for clients Headphones used with a SMAD are also acceptable The Sound room is needed to protect you It is not mandatory that you have a sound room Isa computer required for all of the courses The Professional Seminar requires a PC Sound Health can
