3. w scintex com au sales scintex com au Preparation 1 2 Fill the tank with your carrier fluid Either diesel of deodorized paraffin oil is recommended Add your insecticide and mix in the tank Fog Off Mozzie recommends use of natural pyrethrum concentrate at 5 12mL L of carrier Fill the cleaning bottle with water and a small amount of detergent Ensure the gas flow adjusting control is closed See figure 2 Install the butane canister as shown in figure 3 Turn to the right to lock it in place ES Figure 3 Ignition amp Fogging 1 2 3 Turn the 3 way switch counter clockwise to position 2 See figure 4 Carefully turn the gas adjusting control counter clockwise to let the gas flow About 1 4 of a turn is sufficient Listen for gas flow After a few seconds of gas flow press the ignition button to ignite the fogger If the fogger does not light after 30 seconds turn the gas off wait 2 minutes so the gas escapes the area and try again Once lit adjust the gas flow until you can see a flame inside the gauze protecting the element Allow the fogger 5 minutes to warm up before use Copyright C Scintex www scintex com au sales scintex com au Figure 4 WARNING Operating the fogger when not at operating temperature can block the coil 6 To begin fogging pull the trigger It may take several pulls initially to prime Fog will be seen coming from the fogger tip Pull the trigger approximately ever
4. y 5 seconds Try to avoid pulling the trigger too frequently as this will cool the fogger coil and may lead to a blockage or reduced fog output Shut down procedure 1 Turn the 3 way switch to off and leave the fogger ignited for 1 minute 2 Close the gas flow control to turn it off 3 Remove the gas canister and store in a cool dry location Cleaning 1 Allow the fogger to completely cool before cleaning 2 Turn the 3 way switch to position 1 3 Draw the air pump handle to pump the cleaning fluid through the fogging coil 4 If storing for a long period of time drain the chemical tank and cleaning fluid tank Fogging Tips 1 Fogging is most effective when mosquitoes are most active Early mornings and late afternoons are recommended 2 Fogging is most effective in low wind conditions as the fog will hang for longer If low wind is present ensure you work with the wind on your back ensuring you are not exposed to the fogging chemicals Recommended Dosage Fog Off Mozzie recommends mixing 5 12ml of natural pyrethrum Concentrate 80g L Pyrethrins per 1L of deodorised paraffin oil or diesel Distillate Copyright C Scintex www scintex com au sales scintex com au
