2. 3 2 Chapter 4 Reference 4 1 Printable Graphics Image Modes 4 1 4 2 Graphics Image Data Size 4 1 4 3 Paper Size 4 2 4 4 Multi Connection of the PICTROGRAPHY 3500 4 3 PG 3500 Plug in User s Manual Preface Preface The PICTROGRAPHY 3500 Export Plug in Module is a print export plug in for Adobe Photoshop which will allow the user to print full color images on a PICTROGRAPHY 3500 Full Color Digital Printer This package con tains both the Power Macintosh and Windows 95 98 NT 2000 XP versions of this software which can be run respectively on an Apple Power Macintosh and an Intel or compatible CPU based PC running Microsoft Windows 95 98 2000 NT or XP This software functions as a plug in module for Adobe Photoshop by using it the user can take advantage of the rich editing options available in Adobe Photoshop prior to printing a graphics image Also by using the Graphical User Interfaces GUI in Mac OS or in Microsoft Windows OS anyone can easily print an image This manual begins with a Product Summary and describes Required Hardware Set up Chapter 1 covers Inst

22. 1 1 Hardware Set up Set up procedure 1 Begin with power turned off Make sure that the power to your computer the PICTROGRAPHY 3500 and any other peripheral devices is turned off 2 Set the SCSI ID Check the SCSI ID number to verify that it doesn t duplicate the ID numbers of any other SCSI device Change the ID number if necessary N Notice A full description of how to change the SCSI ID number is given in the PICTROGRAPHY 3500 user s manual 3 Connect the PICTROGRAPHY 3500 to the computer Connect the PICTROGRAPHY 3500 via the SCSI cable to the computer Attach the terminator to the device at the end of the SCSI chain 4 Turn the PICTROGRAPHY 3500 and the computer on First turn on the power to the PICTROGRAPHY 3500 If other SCSI devices are also attached they should also be turned on before starting up your computer N Notice When using a Macintosh Make sure that your Macintosh goes through its usual start up process If it fails to start up immediately turn all devices off check the SCSI cable connections and ID numbers When using a Windows system Make sure that your Windows system goes through its usual start up process If it fails to start up immediately turn all device off check the SCSI cable connections and ID numbers If the start up disk is an IDE Internal Hard Drive the system will boot but any SCSI devices with conflicting ID numbers will not be recognized by the system so double check t
