8. fter Delete Step Save to Timeline Cancel Preview from Duration 50 Singlestens frames Part Visibility Save to Timeline Save Back to PDF Preview from Let Working Name The working name is the name that will appear later in the PDF in the step list The working name is meant to identify the step easily while working with the animation a name identifiable to the user should be chosen This name will also be displayed in the timeline Two steps may never have the same name and some characters e g and and lt or gt are not allowed If a character that is not allowed is used a message will pop up to alert the user they cannot use the character Add If the step that is being created is not the first in the animation it can be decided where to paste the new step The options are At the end and After or Before a particular step If Before or After are selected the drop down box to the right will become active and show the currently existing steps If a step is selected there may be a slight wait time as the parts update to the active position in the 3D window Duration This is the number of frames the animation step will have On a fairly recent computer with a graphic card that is adequate to the 3D model s size 25 frames equal about one second of playing time a more precise statement is not possible as the performance depends on the number of par

17. message However the Special Hint field is just a text field for the author to display any type of text information throughout the animation Short Description Defined in the 3D PDF Publish editor the author can use the Short Description field to include additional information about each step of an animation Long Description Defined in the 3D PDF Publish editor the author can use the Long Description field to include additional information about each step of an animation Part Information List The author can set up an interactive Parts List or BOM that can either list the entire components of the assembly or limit to only the items being used in a specific step The user can set up the template to be able to click on a part and see part attributes displayed in this field or be able to click on a part in the list to see highlighted in the 3D assembly The fields which are placed are typical Acrobat list text and drown down fields By using the Acrobat select object tool the properties of these fields can be accessed by right clicking The complete look and behavior of the fields can be edited and rearranged to meet the user s requirements lf there are unnecessary or extra fields they can easily be deleted The functions which have been added to the PDF by the 3D PDF tools will always check which fields and buttons are present before interacting with them 3 8 Add X Ray Buttons to PDF The X Ray tool is intended to provide a
