Deja Vibe MDV 2 oy Falltoae Congratulations on your purchase of the Fulltone Mini Deja Vibe 2 the world s most accurate reproduction of the infamous 1960 s Univibe effect made popular by Robin Trower Jimi Hendrix and others We have been making exact 60 s Univibe clones longer than anyone and are the only ones manufacturing original spec photocells and manufacturing a dual speed pot with the correct taper and gear We even use the New Old Stock Panasonic Masushita 2SC828 transistors Inside the MDV 2 is our DC Doubler circuit which doubles the voltage of a 9 volt adapter Fulltone FPS 1 Included up to the original s required 18 volts Like an original Univibe the MDV 2 has a built in Treadle speed control to instantly access any speed by simply rocking forward or backward Like an original Univibe the MDV 2 turns on and off simply by pushing the Treadle slightly forward off heel position at the pedal s slowest setting BUT unlike the old Univibe the MDV 2 gives you a heel activated True Bypass Relay System stunning clarity thanks to Electronic Relays and a momentary switch located inside the pedal The MDV 2 embodies everything that was great about the original Univibe and then some at about 1 4 the original Univibe s size Features Input Jack plug cable from your guitar into this or the cable coming from the out of another effect Output Jack plug the cable going to your amp into this or the cable going to the inp2. c All Rights Reserved f Deja Vibe MDV 2 9 Volt DC operation Your MDV 2 comes with the finest power supply available the Fulltone FPS 1 wall wart 9VDC power supply You may only use a 9 volt adapter having the Industry standard 2 1mm x 5 5mm sized barrel connector configured Center Negative The universal symbol for Center Negative 99 of pedals sold use this is the following symbol e amp If you use a pedalboard Power supply make sure to use one that is Regulated and has Isolated outputs for example the Voodoo Labs PedalPower2 so that exactly 9 0 volts DC is supplied If you use a non regulated 9VDC power supply the MDV 2 s bulb will either be brighter or dimmer than is recommended and will not perform correctly Warning Do not use any voltage other than 9VDC The MDV 2 has circuitry that converts the 9 volts up to 18 volts inside the pedal using other than 9VDC will damage or destroy the MDV 2 and may cause a fire Light Source Trimmer control Warning This trimmer allows you to fine tune the amount of current that gets to the light bulb thus adjusting the amount of pitch bend Vibrato and Phasing This is set at our shop and should not need adjustment but if need be should only be adjusted by someone who understands the nature of the circuit and how the Lightbulb affects the overall sound The Trimmer is accessible through a hole located on the bottom of your MDV Use a small slotted or Phillips hea
3. d screw driver to turn the Trimmer slightly Counter Clock Wise CCW to INCREASE bulb brightness increasing the Phase Swoosh Or Turn slightly CW to DECREASE bulb brightness and Phase Swoosh You have to use your ears but our optimal setting is marked around the access hole should you want to return to the factory setting Diagram 1 Diagram 2 e This Trimmer adjusts the LightBulb brightness kx Turn Counter Clockwise to increase phasing or Clockwise to decrease phasing Decreasing the phase will increase the low end throb Turn Nut Clockwise to Tighten treadle Treadle Adjustment The Treadle is the gas pedal looking pad allowing changing of the speed with your foot Fulltone Treadles unlike others are fully adjustable to either move easily or with more resistance depending on how tight the Nylok Nut on the treadle axle is set see Diagram 2 To Loosen the feel of your treadle loosen the Nylok Nut a bit To tighten the feel of the treadle tighten it a bit Warning The Treadle must be set firm enough so that it stays put especially when at the slowest position heel back because the Bypass Relay Switch must stay depressed for the MDV 2 to switch to Bypass In other words if you loosen the treadle too much the pedal won t turn off and your vibe will always be on Warranty Fulltone products carry a Limited 5 year Warranty to the original owner with proof of purchase the product was bought from an Auth
