1. UA E nr 3n WARNING RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK Never spill liquids or push objects of any kind into the TV cabinet slots 38 While iti is thundering do not touch the connecting cables or apparatus 39 To further protect your TV from lightning and power surges always unplug the power cord and discon nect the antenna if you leave the TV unattended or unused for long periods of time continued 40 ALWAYS unplug the TV to completely disconnect from mains power When the TV is turned off using the on off switch it is not completely disconnected from power and a minute amount of current is still con sumed 41 During normal use the TV may make occasional snapping or popping sounds This is normal espe cially when the unit is being turned on or off If these sounds become frequent or continuous unplug the power cord and contact a Toshiba Authorized Service Provider 9 DANGER RISK OF SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH Never strike the screen with a sharp or heavy object 43 e The LCD screen of this product can be damaged by ultraviolet radiation from the sun When selecting a location for the television avoid locations where the screen may be exposed to direct sunlight such as in front of a window Never touch press or place anything on the LCD screen These actions will damage the LCD screen If you need to clean the LCD screen follow the instructions in item 35 on page

Using the advanced picture settings features Using Dynamic Contrast Dynamic Contrast detects changes in picture quality that affect the appearance of your contrast settings and then automatically adjusts the video To select Dynamic Contrast preference 1 From the Picture menu highlight Picture Settings and press re Mode Sports Noise Reduction Game Mode Off Picture Theater Settings 2 Highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press are 3 Press A or Y to select Dynamic Contrast 4 Press 4 or K to select High Middle Low and Off Using the static gamma feature The static gamma feature allows you to adjust the levels of black in the picture To adjust the static gamma settings 1 Press VEI and open the Picture menu 2 Highlight Picture Settings and press ET 3 Highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press In the Static Gamma field press lt or P to adjust the static gamma The adjustment range is within 5 from center If the setting is moved in the minus direction the detail of black colors will be decreased If the setting is moved in the plus direction the detail of black colors will be increased 4 To save the new settings highlight Done and press e To revert the factory defaults highlight Reset and press me Note If you select one of the factory set picture modes Sports Standard Movie or PC and then change the static gamma setting the picture mode automat

To revert to the factory defaults highlight Reset and press ae Using the Color Master feature The Color Master feature allows you to adjust standard colors 1 In the Picture menu highlight Picture Settings and press re 2 Highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press G 52 3 Highlight Color Master and press or P to select On Using the Base Color Adjustment When Color Master is set to On the Base Color Adjustment function will become available You can select a base color to adjust 1 in the Picture menu highlight Picture Settings and press ini 2 Highlight Advanced Picture Settings and press 3 Highlight Base Color Adjustment and press ng The Base Color Adjustment window will appear 4 Press A or V to highlight the color you want to adjust and then press P 5 Press lt or P to select either Hue Saturation or Brightness and then press A or Y to adjust the setting 6 Repeat Steps 5 through 6 to adjust any other color T To save the new settings highlight Done and press ET To revert to the factory defaults highlight Reset and press re Using the Game Mode feature You can use the Game Mode feature for shorter frame delays when playing a video game requiring split second timing between the on screen display and input from the controller such as music creation and high action games This feature is only effective for 480i and 10801 input signals Note To use the Game Mode featu

If you decide to wall mount your LCD TV always use a UL listed wall bracket appropriate for the size and weight of the LCD TV ce page 2 1 CAUTION Two people are required for installation 2 Unplug and remove any cables and or other compo nent connectors from the rear of the TV 3 Remove the screws of the VESA Mounting Pattern show in the next page CAUTION Do not use the screws removed from the back cover to attach the wall mount bracket to the TV 4 Always use the screws supplied or recommended by the wall mount manufacturer 5 Follow the instructions provided with your wall bracket Before proceeding make sure the appropriate bracket s are attached to the wall and the back of the TV as described in the instructions provided with the wall bracket 6 After attaching the appropriate bracket s to the wall and the back of the TV remove the pedestal stand from the TV as described on the following page 7 VESA Mounting Pattern TV Size Hole Pattern HxV Screw Size 19 100x100 mm M4 24 100x100 mm M4 32 200x200 mm M6 unit in mm Removing the Pedestal Stand 1 Carefully lay the front of the unit face down on a flat cushioned surface such as a quilt or blanket Leave the stand protruding over the edge of the surface Note Extreme care should always be used when removing the pedestal stand to avoid damage to the LCD panel 2 Remove the four screws shown in the below diagram This w
