2. 1 Check RGB cable e Check your RGB cable at the end of computer Check that the cable is for right purpose RGB1 Videoconferencing connection through Videoconferencing equipments RGB2 Teaching straight connection to projector e Check that no pins are bent pushed in or broken e Reconnect and turn on the projector Note Then turn the projector on by using the remote takes a minute to warm up You will need to point the remote at the projector front 2 Check projector s signal e RGB Use this button if you are connecting a laptop and want the projector to project computer inputs It allows for RGB 1 or 2 3 Check computer s resolution e Check that the resolution of your computer matches that of your projector max XGA 1024x768 o On your desktop click the right mouse button On opening window Go to Properties Select the Settings tab Halfway down the dialog box is Desktop Area or Screen resolution Drag the tab to the left until it reads 1024 by 768 pixels Click Apply The computer may ask if you want to keep the settings and may need to reboot Click OK until the computer returns to the Settings tab You are now in XGA resolution Your laptop screen may have a black border around the image Note Even after changing your laptop screen to 1024 x768 resolution a laptop computer may not send out the proper signal to the projector You may need to turn off the laptop screen to make the computer send o
3. ut the proper signal Use the Fn button and the appropriate function key as instructed in 4 below to turn the laptop screen black The keyboard and mouse are unaffected O O O O 4 Check computers signal e Make sure that the computer is sending out a signal to the projector Most laptop computers do not automatically send out signals to external devices such as projectors You must instruct your computer to send out a signal and different computer manufacturers do this in different ways Check your user s manual Look under Enable External Monitor or Activate External Monitor Port Note Most manufacturers use a Function key Look for a Function key i e F1 F2 etc with the letters LCD CRT or a picture of two monitors Hold down the Fn key lower left hand corner of the laptop and press the appropriate Function key You may have to do this twice and the laptop screen may go black 4A Check also these if you are using RGB1 for videoconferencing e Check that the document camera is on on off button at the left side of doc cam green light when on o Note PC is connected through document camera e Check that the videoconference signal is PC PC button in the Tandberg s remote o Note Button Selfview in the Tandberg s remote shows sending picture also in TV Otherwise TV shows incoming signal and projector outcoming e Check that document cameras Source signal is Computer Source button in the top of doc cam
