Card User Manual Draft Copy EZAutomation Fe INTRO DUCTION With the introduction of new Remote Access Card and Remote Monitor amp Control RMC software 25 TouchPanels now offer a unique set of remote capabilities as shown below e Remote Monitoring e Remote Control e Remote Programming e Data Acquisition and Storage e Alarm Emails A user can remotely log on to a panel and monitorany of the panel screens with live data including the currently displayed screen See Exceptions Section With right access permissions and authentication a usercan remotely touch the objects on the panel to control a machine plant effectively Re mote control feature can be invaluable for remote diagnostics unmanned operations or supervisory monitoring See Exception Section CAUTION Remote touc h must be used with extreme caution as the changes may cause accidents and can cause damage to machine and harm personnel In addition to remote monitoring and control user may also program the panels remotely over Ethemet allowing OEMSto remotely upgrade the screen programs within the panels Panel allows flexible data acquisition and storage Any tag value may be collected based on regulartime interval events orat specific times The data can be saved on a SD card The card can laterbe removed to read the valuesin a PC Finally the panels support sending alarm emails to a set of recipients under selected alarm conditions 1
10. of 32 5 12 Remote Access Card UserManual Draft Copy EZAutomation MR DATA ACQUISITION EZPanel along with the Remote Access Card offersa flexible Data Acquisition capability You can acquire and save the data forone ormore tagsdefined in the panel The acquired data along with a time stamp is saved in CSV file format in the SD card SD Card must be on the Remote Access Card for collecting data The data acquisition is organized around schedules A schedule isthe way data would be collected For example every 10 second orata certain time say at 7 AM orwhen a certain event takes place User would define one or more such schedules max 16 schedules allowed User would also associate a name up to 8 char with each schedule This name isalso used for the name of a file that would contain the data comesponding to the schedule A schedule must be unique For example we cannot have two schedules each collecting data every 30 sec Each schedule can be used to collect data forup to 32 tags Sc hedule definition is saved along with the user project SETTING UP SC HEDULES On EZSeries Touch Panel software click Remote Access Data Acquisition to display the DAQ Schedule dialog EZSeries Touch Panel Editor Example ezp 1 Scr 1 EZPanelEnhanced Family Remote Card IP Address Remote Users Data Acquisition Upgrade Remote Card Firmware This dialog allows you to add the new schedules and edit delete the exi

16. e conditions of the RMC card Clear RMC Status Tag Ihisisa discrete tag and typically would be an intemaltag Thistag can be used with a Push button to clearthe RMC statustag Disable Data Collection Tag This isa discrete tag that can be controlled by user e g through a Push Button orby PLC to enable ordisable data acquisition When the tags value is O data collection is enabled and when it is 1 the collection is disabled or paused Setting the tag to O resumesthe data collection Request to Remove SD Card Tag This isa discrete tag and can be controlled by userorPLC The Tag isset by user say by a Pushbutton or by PLC to indicate that the user would like to remove the SD card forpossibly reading it in a SD card reader When Panel RMC card seesthistag as set all buffered data is written to the files and files are closed for safe removal of the card Another discrete tag Safe to Remove isset to indicate that it is now safe to remove the SD card without fear of file comuption At the same time the Request tag isreset by the panel Safe to Remove SD card Tag This is a discrete intemal tag The tag must not be mapped to PLC The Panel RMC card would set thistag when it is safe to remove the card It is reset whenever it is unsafe to remove the card Itis highly recommended that you use Request to Remove and Safe to Remove tags for removing the card If the card is removed without safe indication the data on the card may ge
