3. hands no tools The threads can easily be stripped if a tool is used Part 11242a Page 3 of 9 Peel the paper backing from the black connector sealant material Gently stretch the black material as you wrap the connector to seal out moisture Be sure to seal the juncture between the connector and plastic antenna body After using the first strip of sealing material use your fingers to form it tightly against the connector The connector on the ANT PNL 16 will require two strips of sealing material to properly seal the connection The first strip should almost cover the metal on the large Knurled connector Part 11242a Page 4 of 9 Use a second strip of black sealant material to create a watertight seal approximately 2 inches 5 cm above the surface of the plastic antenna body Position the antenna on the mast Insert the U shaped mast clamp with L bolt installed around the mast Hook the mast clamp into the anchor slots located inside the square antenna mount NOTE Be sure to select Vertical or Horizontal polarity as marked on the back of the antenna Polarity must be the same for both ends of the link Tighten the L bolt to fasten the antenna securely to the mast NOTE Do not overtighten as the antenna will need to be aligned for maximum radio signal intensity during final installation and configuration of the wireless system Part 11242a Page 5 of 9 Carefully rout

5. aser s proof of purchase if needed to support warranty claim See details in LIMITATIONS section below i 99 028 0097 1 Domestic Warranty 8 1 99 After inspecting the failed unit Solectek will repair or replace materially defective parts or components All products that are replaced become the property of Solectek If upon inspection by Solectek a unit returned under warranty is deemed to be damaged or out of warranty for any reason see LIMITATIONS section below Solectek will contact the customer with a price for the repair or replacement unit Upon receipt of payment wire transfer certified check credit card etc for the replacement unit plus outbound shipping fees Solectek will send a repaired or replacement unit to the customer Customers who do not accept the repair offer may receive their failed equipment back by prepaying an inspection fee of 300 and the return freight cost If upon inspection by Solectek a unit returned under warranty is found to be defect free Solectek reserves the right to charge the customer a 500 test fee SOLECTEK S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE OBLIGATION AND YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL BE THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF THE APPLICABLE SOLECTEK PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS SET FORTH HEREIN LIMITATIONS As the original purchaser you receive these warranties from Solectek Corporation subject to the terms and limitations set forth below Solectek warrants

9. e the antenna to ODU cable down the mast Carefully screw the end cable into the Antenna terminal of the ODU NOTE Seal this terminal with the black sealant material This connector is smaller than the one on the antenna and should require only one strip Be sure to stretch the sealant material while wrapping it around the connector Fasten the antenna to ODU cable to the mast with Ty Wrap or other fastening material If the cable is not fastened to the mast the wind will move the cable and possibly cause damage and interruption to the wireless link Part 11242a Page 6 of 9 Working with another technician located at the main unit align the antenna for maximum radio signal Tighten the L bolt securely when finished The ANT PNL 16 can also be mounted against a flat wall or vertical surface by using the wall mounting bracket available from oolectek The wall mount bracket mounts with four screws or lag bolts provided by the installer or customer Two bolts on the bracket allow the arm to swing for adjusting the antenna elevation Leave those two bolts slightly loose until after installing the antenna Part 11242a Page 7 of 9 Part 11242a After firmly fastening the mount to the wall slip the ANT PNL 16 over the vertical arm of the wall bracket If the plastic cover is to be used locate the four cover mounting holes on the plastic front radome of the ANT PNL 16 Locate t
