SHORTER IN THE REAR oi d i ae RI S N A SAL LP _ 134 7 16 WASHER 568 1 2 13 BOLT Revision A 999050 www teraflex com 6 Bolt the limit strap to the spring perch with a washer but do not tighten PTT TILT 568 1 2 13 BOLT 134 7 16 WASHER 214 1 2 13 NUT Pull the strap as tight as possible On the inside of the frame Once a final location is established make a mark and drill a 3 4 find a location just in front of the motor that is accessible for hole a step bit works great Mirror that hole to the opposite frame drilling You may need to remove the track bar and or the lower rail Install the nutserts according to steps 2 4 Install the limit strap radiator hose for better access finger tight N 568 1 2 13 BOLT g 134 7 16 WASHER 853182 LIMIT STRAP SPACER 201 1 2 LOCK WASHER S 200 1 213 NUTSERT Be sure all limit strap bolts are finger tight and lower the axle until it is supported by the straps Torque all supplied bolts to 60 ft lbs 81 Nm and the upper control arm bolt to 125 ft lbs 169 Nm Revision A 999050 www teraflex com PRODUCT INFORMATION MAINTENANCE INFORMATION It is the buyer s responsibility to have all suspension drivetrain steering and other components checked for proper tightness and torque after the first 100 miles and every 3000 miles afte
2. it is important to raise the axle at least 1 25 above full droop before determining placement of the limit strap 999050 www teraflex com 9 CUSTOM REAR INSTALL On the rear either drill a hole similar to step 9 or remove the control arm bolt and insert the bolt through the limit strap tab and reinstall the bolt Install bolt finger tight With the shocks attached lower the rear axle until it is com pletely supported by the shocks Then raise the axle 1 25 OEM REAR UPPER CONTROL N ARM BRACKET KO EXISTING HOLES Y On the frame side pull the strap as tight as possible and choose a location on the outside of the frame that is clear of brake lines and obstructions Mark for drilling Some applica tions may be able to use the existing 3 4 hole in the frame 568 1 2 13 BOLT PEEN DVA 134 7 16 WASHER lt Y in AU N 853182 LIMIT STRAP SPACER WW J2 N sa 201 1 2 LOCK WASHER N N 200 1 2 13 NUTSERT Remove the bolt and install the limit strap to the nutsert in the CUSTOM FRONT INSTALL order shown Droop the axle until it is supported by the straps and torque the bolts to 60 ft Ibs 81 Nm On the axle side in the front drill a 1 2 hole in the spring perch as shown 853182 LIMIT STRAP SPACER 201 1 2 LOCK WASHER o FRONT LIMIT mies LONGER STRAPS ARE USED IN THE 200 1 213 NUTSERT FRONT

4. f roading may cause critical fasteners to work loose Extra care should be taken to inspect the critical components steering and brake systems During each oil change components such as arms tie rod ends etc should be greased and checked for excessive wear Any worn components should be replaced When returning to the pavement always set or restore tire air pressure to the factory recommendation and connect or engage any disabled sway bar mechanisms Because of the higher center of gravity and larger tires this vehicle handles and reacts differently than many passenger cars both on and off road You must drive it safely Extreme care should be taken to prevent vehicle rollover or loss of control which can result in serious injury or death Avoid sudden sharp turns or abrupt maneuvers Generally braking performance and capabilities are decreased when significantly larger heavier tires are used especially when used in combination with transfer case low range reduction kits Take this into consideration while driving Do not add alter or fabricate any factory or aftermarket parts to increase vehicle height over the intended height of the Tera Flex product purchased Mixing component brand is not recommended TeraFlex Inc will not be responsible for any altered product or any improper installation or use of our products We will be happy to answer any questions concerning the design function and correct use of our products It is ultimately the buyer s re
5. mit Strap Spacer for Frame Nutserts 4 Nutsert 1 2 13 Thread Bolt 1 2 13 x 1 5 Hex Head Stover Locknut 1 2 13 Washer 1 2 External Tooth O O o Washer 7 16 Flat a a nn 854145 JK Rear Limit Strap 13 1 2 Long Revision A 999050 www teraflex com 3 Assemble the nutsert and bolt as shown in preparation for installation of the nutsert into the frame We recommend using anti seize on the threads to prevent galling of the threads FRONT INSTALL Prerunner Park the vehicle on a level surface Raise and support N the vehicle so the axles can droop completely Remove SS QO f 568 1 2 13 BOLT the wheels and tires See the factory service manual a UWOS TN for safe support locations AOK 134 7 16 WASHER SA 853182 LIMIT STRAP SPACER 201 1 2 LOCK WASHER N 200 1 2 13 NUTSERT The assembly will install into a factory hole in the frame Use an 1 1 8 end wrench on the flats of the spacer and a between the steering gear and motor mount 3 4 wrench on the bolt Torque to 60 ft lbs 81 Nm to ensure the nutsert is fully seated 5 fi AS ae Jj a WX Al ILA 7 A NZ X M HOLE USED FOR FRONT UMIT STRAPS cen Remove the bolt and reinstall using one of the longer limit straps Drill a 1 2 hole in the inside of the spring perch in the location Loosely install the bolt do not tighten Repeat on opposite side shown We recommend drilling a 1 4 pilot hole first Te
