35. tches down to the mark made earlier turning the cams 90 degrees to the locked position See figures 15 and 16 i m Figure 16 Figure 15 14 Replace the sash and check operation Integrity Parts and Service Manual 11708407 INTEGRITY ALL ULTREX SERVICE DOUBLE HUNG BALANCE TUBE AND CLUTCH ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT Windows and Doors Clutch Assembly Replacement 1 Follow steps 1 5 of the previous Balance Tube Replace ment section NOTE It is not necessary to remove the top balance tube plug or the entire balance tube from cavity 2 With the clutch assem bly removed from the balance tube channel pull on the assembly until approximately 6 152 of cord is show ing Using a locking pli ers or similar tool clamp off the cord at the bottom of the bal ance tube Push the cord out toward the back of the clutch as sembly to reveal knot Untie the knot or cut the cord just above the knot if necessary and discard the damaged clutch assembly See Figure 17 figure 17 NOTE Before using the locking pliers or similar tool it is advised to tape off or file down the teeth on the tool to avoid fraying the cord IMPORTANT Untying the knot is a preferred method to re move the clutch assembly However if this is not possible and cutting is necessary be sure to melt the end of the cord to avoid fraying 3 Thread the balance tube cord through the front of the new N clutch assembly NN
