1. Check the oil for contamination on a weekly basis by shutting the pump off and draining some of the oil into a small glass or container through the ol drain por Oi ite is dependent upon the condition to which itis exposed Tho oil must be changes after the first 100 hours of initial operation Ar the intial oil change and when using US350 SS Sem synthetic ol itis recommended that Ih oi changes are made every three 3 or faur 4 months or 500 750 hours of operation or as necessary if high heat is contaminating the ol To change the pump oil the pump must be switched of and ventilated to reach atmospheric pressure Remove the ol drain plug and drain the oil Dispose o he oil in compliance with local or national regulations When ol stops draining replace Ihe ol drain plug Start the pump again for a few seconds Stop the pump once again and then reopen the oil drain plug and discharge any remaining ol Refasten the oil drain plug EXCESSIVE HEAT When tho pump is subjected to operating conditions that wil cause the oil to be heated above 210 Deg F the oil wil carbonize and become contaminated alter a relatively low number of operating hours if standard hydrocarbon ollis used The higher the temperature the quicker the oil becomes contaminated and thermally breaks down In these type of high heat applications USSS0SS oil is recommended CONTAMINATED AIR STREAM When tho air stream contains solids andlor liquids hat may contaminate the
