70. tatic which may occur when the pickup is removed from the bag make sure that it is not placed on top of the bag Cleaning the lens surface a Blow off dust on the lens using the kind of air brush which is used for cameras Remove stubborn dirt with a cotton swab dipped alcohol Do not use any other type of cleaning fluid since it may mark the plastic lens eDo not use too much isopropyl alcohol the excess may seep inside the pickup eThe lens is held in place by a very feeble suppor spring Therefore when cleaning the lens avo applying any more force by the cotton swab than necessary since this may bend the support spring out shape CD MECHANISM REMOVAL 1 Preparations 1 Do not apply unnecessary force to the pickup when handling it Care should be taken not even to touch the lens or drive circuit sections 2 Do not apply unnecessary force do not pull or push it forcefully to remove the disc tray from its inside position Unnecessary force may break the teeth on the tray gear CM6 3 In the descriptions which follow the numbers in the parentheses after the parts are reference numbers in the exploded views Refer to these views 2 Removing and installing the disc tray DISC TRAY REPLACEMENT 1 Remove the stop screw 1 of the disc tray 31 2 Pull the disc tray 31 all the way forward by turning the tray drive gear 12 clockwise Note Do not take hold of the disc tray 31
