RAFT       Charging the lift    The lift is charged via a freestanding charger station installed at an appropriate end of the track  Motor   s  charger pickups are located above hand control end of motor  1     If the LED lamp on the underside of the lift lights red  and a beeping signal will be heard indicating a low  battery warning   2     If the LED lamp on the underside of the lift blinks red  a low signal will be heard  the lift must be taken  out of service immediately and the battery must be charged immediately   2     When the lift is correctly docked in the charger station  the Green LED lamp on the underside of the unit  will glow  It will shut off after 10 minutes  3      When the lift is fully charged the Green LED Lamp will turn on again           for ne    pead       NOTE    Use only the charger station that is approved for the lift    Ensure that the hoist is docked at low speed with the charger station    To ensure maximum battery life  charge regularly  We recommend that the lift be docked with the  charger station when not in use  Do not allow battery charge to fall below 25     The emergency stop device must not be activated during charging     Reda Operations Manual 071411 ver1 0 DRAFT 6    Emergency stop   To activate emergency stop  Push the red emergency  stop button on the lift motor or press the red button   on the hand control all functions will be switched off   1  2   Resetting  Depress the green handset button to   Restart the motor   3     Elect

Reda Manual  System RoMedic    Reda is a safe and easy to use ceiling lift unit that combines new design with well   thought out and proven construction and functional  Reda can be used on all types  of rails  both permanent rail systems  basic rail systems with or without curves and  switches  or rail systems with full room coverage  and on portable  freestanding lift  stands  Reda also functions equally well in all settings and in all types of rooms   Reda has a wide lifting range  2 350 mm  92 51     and can therefore be used both  for lifting from the floor and for very high lifts  Reda is also an ideal assistive device  for gait training and standing training     Reda is very easy to operate and allows the caregiver to remain close to the user  and focus on the user throughout the entire lifting procedure  All maneuvering is  via the ergonomic and uniquely user friendly hand control with clearly marked and  intuitively placed buttons for switching the unit on off  for lowering  raising   travelling along the rail  for models with transfer motors   and emergency stop     G Functional inspection   Visual inspection   Inspect lift functions regularly  Check to ensure that the entire system is free of  damage         li  Always read the instructions  Read instructions for all assistive devices used in connection with transfers  Keep  the manual where it is accessible to users of the product   Do not leave the patient unattended during a lifting situation   Before use   Check

7. rical emergency lowering   If the handset does not function  push and hold the red  emergency stop button and hold until the patient has been  lowered on the underlying surface   2     Resetting  Depress the green handset button to  Restart the motor   3     Ensure that emergency lowering takes place ina  safe and appropriate location     gor    geal       Reda Operations Manual 071411 ver1 0 DRAFT 7    4     3       ply      gt     4                 _hk    Trouble shooting    If the lift is not working properly  check the following    e Check to ensure that the handset is connected correctly  If the markings on the handset do not  coincide with the lift functions or if any of the buttons do not respond  check to ensure that the cord for  the handset is properly and securely connected  Pull out the contact and plug it in again firmly    e Check to ensure that the emergency stop has not been activated  Reset the emergency stop device if  necessary    e Check battery charge level  If the red LED is on or blinking  dock the lift in the charger station  immediately     NOTE    If the lift still does not function properly after trouble shooting  contact an authorized RoMedic service  technician    If the lift makes unusual noises  try to determine the source of the sound  do not use the lift  and contact  an authorized RoMedic service technician     General inspection    We recommend that the lift be inspected at least once per month    e Inspect the lift for signs of wear and dam
