Re assemble the piston and carefully put the piston in position into the pressure container KION9033 E382 E392E 061 01 01 02 Siemens Elema AB 6 5 M aintenance KION9036 KION9037 KION9038 6 6 XXX XX xXx KION Replace the diaphragm 6 in the pressure container Discard the old diaphragm Mount and secure the cover on the pressure container Disconnect the tubes 7 from the three gas modules Remove the locking rail 8 Remove the plate 9 and pull out the three gas modules On each one of the three gas modules Unscrew the two screws 10 and lift off the cover 11 Remove the rubber sealing 12 from the old bacteria filter 13 and discard the old filter Mount the rubber sealing on the new bacteria filter and put the new filter into the cover 11 Mount the cover on the gas module Siemens Elema AB E382 E392E 061 01 01 02 KION M aintenance Gas modules with metal nozzle unit Open the hatch and pull out the nozzle unit Replace the O ring 6 1 x 1 6 and the diaphragm Do not use any sharp tools that may damage the valve seat Onthe AIR BP and O BP gas modules make sure that the washer 14 is placed in position This washer is not used in the AIR LUFT gas module Put the nozzle unit back and close the hatch KION9156 Discard the old O ring and diaphragm Gas modules with plastic nozzle unit Open

Replace the gas inlet filter in all four yokes Remove the filter holder 1 mounted in the gas inlet channel inside the yoke To remove the filter holder use a 5 32 4 mm hexagonal wrench Replace the filter 2 Discard the old filter Reassemble the yoke KION9150 The pressure regulators and the safety valves are preset to correct settings and secured with a visible drop of sealant Inspect the pressure regulators and the safety valves Check that the seals 1 on the pressure regulators are not broken Check that the seals 2 on the safety valves are not broken If a seal on any of these units is broken replace this unit see chapter 3 Disassembling and assembling Connect gas supply from the hospital central gas supply to all three gas inlets on the Kion System Check if there is a leakage through the one way valves OV5 OV8 in all four yokes Cover the gas inlet channel in each yoke with a finger and check if there is a pressure built up under the finger Replace faulty one way valves if necessary see chapter 3 Disassembling and assembling Disconnect the gas supply Connect gas cylinders to the backup gas supply manifold and open the cylinder valves Check if there is a leakage through the safety valves SV5 SV7 Cover both outlet holes on each one of the safety valves with two fingers and check if there is a pressure built up under the fingers Replace faulty safety valves i

36. is then routed back to the PNEUMATIC SECTION The PlVap vaporizers are equipped with a key filling mechanism For Sevoflurane there is also a QUIK FIL version available The anesthetic agent concentration delivered by the OG Q jn vaporizer is depending on the ambient temperature Se and the filling level in the vaporizer See Technical rs specifications in the Kion Operating M anual for SEVOFLURANE POPE ENFLURANE of further information The concentration should not be set between Off and the first graduation above zero eee t When the vaporizer is activated a concentration is set with the knob fresh gas from the Gas M 5 enters the vaporizer In the vaporizer the gas passes an adjustable throttle valve The pressure built up by the flow resistance in the throttle valve will act upon the anesthetic agent liquid surface in the reservoir ph The liquid will then be pressed through the nozzle into the gas stream after which it vaporizes The higher the concentration is set on the knob the higher the pressure created by the throttle will be This higher pressure will then force more liquid through the nozzle and a higher anesthetic agent concentration will be the result The vaporizers must be checked during the Six months maintenance and the Twelve months maintenance The two O rings in each vaporizer valve must be replaced during the Twelve months maintenance

A gas pump in the M urt Gas MODULE takes a gas samples from the Y piece The gas sample is analyzed by the Murti Gas M and the measured values are shown on the Kion Display The gas sample is then returned to the expiratory channel in the Patient CASSETTE prior to the ExPIRATORY FLow TRANSDUCER Thus the measured expiratory flow includes the gas sample If the temperature in the battery drawer compartment is above 45 C 113 F e 0 due to BATTERY DRAWER Fan failure the function of the MutT Gas M may be affected For technical information regarding the MutT Gas M opute see the Service M anual for the Siemens MuLTIGas M odule 24 Isolation transformer The purpose of the optional Kion ISOLATION TRANSFORMER is to provide the possibility for mains power connection of auxiliary equipment while maintaining the total system earth leakage current below the limits in IEC 60601 1 It provides galvanic isolation from the wall mains outlet The ISOLATION TRANSFORMER contains four mains power outlets 115 V or 230 V 50 or 60 Hz Max outlet is 500 VA and max total leakage current is 100 uA A green lamp on the transformer indicates when mains power is available The ISOLATION TRANSFORMER IS equipped with four fuses Two resetable fuses on the primary side 6A onthe 115 V transformer 3 A on the 230 V transformer Two 5x20 mm UL approved fuses on the secondary side 5 A 250 V slow blo
