4. 3 Remove the seven screws that secure the main board to the LCD frame 106 Disassembly and repair Welch Allyn Connex Vital Signs Monitor 6000 Series 4 Remove the main board Reassembly notes e Ensure that the LCD flex cable is not under the main board A CAUTION The solder joint of the LCD connector J48 is fragile When inserting or removing the flex cable do not stress the solder joint e Before replacing the MCE board remove the LCD frame as described in Remove the LCD Once the LCD frame has been removed install approximately 3 inches of tape M11580 to cover the bottom of the two standoffs as indicated Do not cover any portion of the large openings e Route the Ethernet cable outside the PEM stud and not underneath the main board e Connect the Ethernet cable to the main board o Verify whether your model contains PCBA 407574 revision B C or D Revisions B and C have no logo on the top surface of the Ethernet port Revision D has a logo on the top surface of the Ethernet port See the figure below o For PCBA 407574 revisions B and C confirm that the Ethernet cable has a shim on one connector Insert the connector with the shim into the Ethernet port o For PCBA 407574 revision D you can use either an Ethernet cable with a shim or an Ethernet cable without a shim Insert the connector into the Ethernet port Revisions B and C Revision D Service man
