BOARD REMOVAL    TOSHIBA       VU  M2 5x2 8 black flat head screws    3  Remove two M2 5x2 8 black flat head screws securing  the keyboard     TOP COVER REMOVAL       Modem LAN harness    1  Turn the computer upside down   2  Disconnect the modem LAN harness from PJ108 on  the system board and remove it from the base assembly     Series    PJ113       Keyboard    4  Lift out the keyboard and set it on the palm rest   5  Disconnect the keyboard cable from PJ113 on the  system board and lift out the keyboard     M2 5x25 black screws       M2 5x4 blac   flat head   screw  M2 5x16  black  screws   M2x3 Black   screws    M2 5x6 black flat head screws    3  Remove the following seventeen screws from the  bottom cover    6 M2 5x16 black screws    2 M2 5x25 black screws   6 M2 5x6 black flat head screws    2 M2x3 black screws    1 M2 5x4 black flat head screw    TOSHIBA    Tough Enough for Today   s World    FIELD REPLACEABLE UNIT DOCUMENTATION    Satellite     5100 Series    TOP COVER REMOVAL    LCD FL  cable Interface cable PJ124           Membrane          Left right    PJ114  assembly    brass screws M2x4 brass screw CD control touchpad cable Mini coax cable   4  Turn the computer right side up and open the LCD panel  8  Disconnect the LCD FL cable from PJ203 and PJ204  5  Remove one M2x4 brass screw securing the KB on the video board    plate and lift out the KB plate  9  Disconnect the mini coax cable frrom the  6  Remove two M2 5x16 black screws and two M2x6 HDD battery board

IT DOCUMENTATION    Satellite     5100 Series    15    DISPLAY MASK REMOVAL    mask     LCD       Mask seals    1  Remove two mask seals at the bottom corners of the  display assembly using a pair of fine tipped tweezers   2  Remove two M2 5x6 flat head brack screws securing   the display mask    3  There are 22 latches securing the display mask   Carefully insert your fingers between the mask and the  LCD panel and pry open the latches starting from the  bottom six latches  to the five latches on the right  and left sides  ending with the six toplatches     FL INVERTER AND 15    LCD REMOVAL  LCD module    Mask  seals         M2x5  brass  screws    M2x5  j brass  screws       LCD FL cable M2x5 silver screw FL inverter board    1  Remove one M2x5 silver screw securing the  FL inverter board    2  Carefully lift up the FL inverter board and  disconnect the LCD FL cable from CN1 and the  FL cable from CN2    3  Remove four mask seals to expose four screws  securing the LCD module assembly    4  Remove four M2X5 silver screws securing the  LCD module    5  Carefully rotate out the top of the LCD module  enough to access the display cable   6  Peel off the tape securing the LCD FL cable and  disconnect the cable     TOSHIBA    Tough Enough for Today   s World
