5. 0 30 mm Ruotare l albero motore in senso anti orario ed allineare il contrassegno posto sul volano con il riferimento sul carter accensione o fig 2 Accertarsi che il pistone si trovi al punto 9 3 superiore PMS della corsa Controllare che la linea di riferimento sull ingranaggio dell albero a camme sia allineata col contrassegno n del supporto dell albero a camme ig 3 i il tendicatena della distribuzione e allentare il tenditore automatico interno successivamente stringere il bullone di tenuta con la rondella alla coppia specificata 10 Nem 1 0 gfem Controllare se la guarnizione del coperchio valvole del cilindro danneggiata o deteriorata e sostituirla con una nuova se necessario Installare il coperchio valvole e stringere i bulloni alla coppia specificata 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Installare la candela il cappuccio della candela ed il tubo di sfiato del coperchio valvole Installare le piastre di supporto del motore le rondelle i bulloni e i dadi N B Ogni piastra di attacco motore ha un contrassegno di identificazione L per il lato sinistro e R per quello destro Installare e stringere il tappo d ispezione lato accensione alla coppia specificata 10 Nem 1 kgfem Installare il corpo farfallato e fissare la fascetta relativa Collegare i vari connettori dell impianto elettrico Installare quanto segue il telaio secondario il tubo sfiato olio il tubo di collegamento e stringere la fascetta Installar

Nem 1 0 kgfem Positionner la bougie le capuchon de la bougie et le flexible de reniflard du couvercle de soupape Assembler les plaques du support moteur les rondelles les boulons et les crous N B Chaque support du moteur a un signe d identification L pour le c t gauche et R pour le c t droite Monter et serrer le couvercle d inspection sur le cot d allumage au couple sp cifi 10 Nem 1 kgfem Installer le corps papillon et fixer le segment du piston correspondant Assembler les diff rents connecteurs de l installation lectrique Positionner les composants suivants le ch ssis secondaire le flexible de reniflard d huile le tuyau de raccordement et serrer le segment Assembler le collecteur d chappement avec le nouveau joint le pot d chappement et serrer les boulons et le collier du joint Assembler les manchons du circuit de liquide de refroidissement Positionner les protecteurs du moteur et les convoyeurs de radiateur Si le niveau est insuffisant ajoutez du liquide de refroidissement jusqu au niveau du goulot de remplissage Remplir le carter moteur avec de l huile SAE 10 W 40 jusqu la marque de niveau maximum Laver et si n cessaire remplacer le filtre air Assembler le r servoir de carburant le si ge et les convoyeurs lat rales RODAGE USAGE ET ENTRETIEN Pour le rodage et l entretien conformez vous strictement au MANUEL D USAGE ET D ENTRETIEN DU CONDUCTEUR
7. ctement de la bonne qualit de ces composants MONTAGE DU GROUPE THERMIQUE Nettoyer soigneusement les composants originaux r utiliser et tous les nouveaux composants du groupe thermique Athena en faisant particuli re attention qu il n y a pas d impuret s dans les conduits du cylindre ou sur le piston Installer les segments de piston en vitant de l endommager placer le segment sup rieur avec sa marque tourn e vers le haut Positionner les segments de piston comme indiqu sur la figure 1 Couvrir l ouverture du carter moteur avec un chiffon Mettre le piston avec la marque tourn e du cot de la soupape d chap pement Apr s avoir graiss laxe du piston poser le dans le piston en le poussant l g rement avec votre main Apr s avoir pos les clips s assurer qu ils soient bien positionn s dans leur logements Ins rer le nouveau joint d embase fourni dans le kit Athena et les goujons sur le carter moteur Graisser avec de l huile propre le cylindre le piston e les segments et installer le cylindre en comprimant les segment N B Ne pas forcer le cylindre a pourrait casser les segments du piston Installer le guide cha ne de distribution en alignant ses languettes avec les rainures du cylindre Installer les goupilles de centrage et le nouveau joint culasse fourni dans le kit Athena Positionner la culasse du cylindre avec les rondelles correspondantes et serrer les crous en s quence crois dans deux
8. e il collettore di scarico con la nuova guarnizione la marmitta e stringere relativi bulloni e la fascetta del giunto Collegare i manicotti del circuito del liquido di raffreddamento Installare le protezioni del motore e i convogliatori del radiatore Riempire il circuito di raffreddamento con liquido fino al collo del foro di riempimento Riempire il carter motore con l olio SAE 10 W 40 fino al contrassegno del livello superiore Pulire e se necessario sostituire il filtro aria Installare il serbatoio la sella e i convogliatori laterali RODAGGIO USO E MANUTENZIONE Per il rodaggio e la manutenzione attenersi scrupolosamente al manuale USO E MANUTENZIONE DEL VEICOLO Non utilizzare benzine con meno di 96 ottani Non forzare il motore per le prime 2 3 ore d utilizzo poich si rischierebbe di danneggiare il gruppo termico inoltre le massime prestazioni si avranno dopo un buon rodaggio E opportuno sostituire il pistone al primo cenno di affaticamento del kit per non compromettere la rotondit della canna del cilindro Limite di servizio pistone consigliamo di sostituirlo dopo 15 ore di lavoro 11 a Ci permettiamo di ricordarVi che non il singolo pezzo ma la completezza dell insieme che fa raggiungere al vostro motore il massimo delle prestazioni Si suggerisce il montaggio dei prodotti contenuti in questo kit da parte di tecnici specializzati se difetti e o problemi venissero causati da una cattiva installazione
9. en sistemati nella loro sede Posizionare la nuova guarnizione base cilindro fornita nel kit Athena e le spine di centraggio sul carter Ungere la canna del cilindro il pistone e le fasce elastiche con olio motore pulito ed installare il cilindro comprimendo le fasce elastiche N B Non forzare il cilindro oltre il necessario poich ci potrebbe causare la rottura delle fasce elastiche Installare la guida catena della distribuzione allineando le sue linguette con le scanalature del cilindro Installare le spine di centraggio e la nuova guarnizione testa cilindro fornita nel kit Athena Installare la testata del cilindro con relative rondelle e stringere i dadi seguendo uno schema incrociato in due o tre fasi alla coppia speci ficata 50 Nem 5 0 kgfem Stringere i bulloni M6 di montaggio della testata alla coppia specificata 9 8 Nem 1 0 kgfem Stringere il bullone M6 di montaggio del cilindro alla coppia specificata 9 8 Nem 1 0 kgfem Applicare una soluzione di olio al molibdeno alla superficie esterna di ciascun bicchierino valvola Installare gli spessori calibrati sui fermi arresto molla Installare i bicchierini valvole nei relativi alloggiamenti Controllare che l albero a camme si muova senza problemi Installare e stringere i bulloni seguendo uno schema incrociato in due o tre fasi successive alla coppia specificata 14 Nem 1 4 kgfem Controllare con uno spessimetro il gioco valvole aspirazione 0 10 0 15mm scarico 0 28

11. ghtened inside their seats Place the new cylinder base gasket supplied with the Athena kit and the dowel pins on the crankcase Coat the cylinder liner the piston and the piston rings with engine oil and install the cylinder while compressing the piston rings N B Do not force the cylinder since this may break the piston ring Install the cam chain guide by aligning its tabs with the cylinder grooves Install the dowel pins and the new cylinder head gasket supplied with Athena kit Install the cylinder head onto the cylinder with its washers and tighten the nuts to the specific torque in a criss cross pattern in two or three steps 50 Nem 5 0 kgfem Tighten the M6 cylinder head mounting bolts to the specific torque 9 8 Nem 1 0 kgfem Tighten the M6 cylinder mounting bolt to the specified torque 9 8 Nem 1 0 kgfem Apply molybdenum oil solution to the outer surface of each valve lifter Install the calibrated shims on the spring stopping Install the valve tappets into their seats Check that the camshaft moves correctly Install and tighten the nuts to the specific torque in a criss cross pattern in two or three steps 14 Nem 1 4 kgfem Check by means of a thickness gauge the valve clearance intake 0 10 0 15mm exhaust 0 28 0 30 Turn the crankshaft clockwise and align the punch mark on the primary drive gear with the index mark on the right crankcase cover A see picture 2 Make sure the piston is at T D C Top Dead Center o
12. hed wheel of the distribution is aligned with the A mark of the camshaft holder see picture 3 Remove the chain tensioner the camshaft holders the tappets their shims and the cylinder head N B Loosen each nut about 4 turn to avoid warping of the camshaft holder and the cylinder head Remove gasket dowel pins cylinder and cover the opening in the crankcase to prevent impurities from falling into Remove the base gasket and the piston Check the following components CONNECTING ROD measure the diameter of the piston pin hole CYLINDER HEAD clean the combustion chamber from possible encrustations INLET EXHAUST VALVES check the tightness and the clearance keeping to the maintenance manual Health of your engine is guaranteed by the good conditions of these elements ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS Clean carefully all the original components you are going to use again and all the new components of the Athena cylinder kit Be sure no impurities are left inside the cylinder ports or on the piston Install the piston rings and try to avoid piston damage during installation Make sure to install the top ring with its marking facing up Assembly the piston rings as indicated in picture 1 Cover the crankcase opening with a rag Place the piston arrow towards the exhaust valve side After lubricating the piston pin slide it inside the piston by pushing it with your hand after assembling the circlips check carefully that they are well ti

15. n the compression stroke Check that the index line on the cam sprocket align with the top head surface see picture 3 Install the camshaft chain tensioner and loosen the inner automatic tensioner Afterwards tighten the sealing bolt with the washer to the specific torque10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Check if the valve cover gasket is damaged or worn and replace it with a new one if necessary Install the cylinder valve cover and tighten the bolts to the specified torque 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Install the spark plug the spark plug cap and the breather hose of the valve cover Install the engine holders washers dolts and nuts N B Each engine holders has an Identification mark L for the left side and R for the right one Install and tighten the inspection cap on the ignition side to the specific torque 10 Nem 1 kgfem Install the throttle body and its band link all connectors of the electric circuit Install the following components the secondary frame the crankcase breather tube the connecting pipe and tighten the band Install the exhaust manifold with the new gasket the exhaust pipe and tighten the bolts and the joint band Connect the tubes of the cooling circuit Add coolant up to the filler neck hole Install the engine protections and the radiators conveyors Add coolant up to the filler neck hole Fill the crankcase with the recommended oil SAE 10 W 40 up to the upper level mark Clean and replace the air filter if nec
