P400210100012 727mm 60mm 2491 10 3 1 400210100013 78mm 60mm 286 7cc 10 3 1 P400210100014 72 7 mm 65 2 mm 271cc 400210100015 78 65 2 310 cc 9 Nous vous remercions pour avoir choisi nos produits et restons votre disposition pour tous renseignements suppl mentaires PRELIMINAIRES ET DEMONTAGE Nettoyer bien la part du moteur d monter D monter un apr s l autre les composants cot du groupe thermique car ne si ge r servoir etc le silencieux de d charge le collecteur de d char ge vidanger le liquide de refroidissement en employant la vis de purge d brancher le flexible d eau de la culasse le flexible d eau devant le cylindre le flexible de reniflard de valve couvercle la bougie le carburateur et le groupe valve thermostatique fig 1 D poser la valve couvercle et le bouchon d inspection fig 2 le carter gauche fig 3 attention aux goujons positionner le piston sur le PMH la course de d charge Tourner l arbre moteur du carter gauche avec une cl 19 jusqu aligner la r f rence PMS pour KXR et MXU par ex sur le rotor avec la r f rence sur le couvercle du carter fig 2 S assurer que les deux trous sur l arbre cames soient bien align s la surface de la culasse fig 4 en tenant le trou plus grand vers l haut Enlever le tendeur de cha ne de distribution D visser les 2 vis du cylindre sur le passage de la cha ne et les 4 vis culasse cylindre pour viter
3. 5 Nota allineare il riferimento PMS sul rotore volano al riferimento sul coperchio del carter fig 2 quando il pistone si trova nel PMS nella fase di compressione Inserire la catena di distribuzione sulla ruota dentate dell albero a camme sulla testata del cilindro Nota L albero a camme va montato sulla testata del cilindro in modo tale che i due forellini sul albero a camme siano allineati alla superficie della testata cilindro fig 4 mantenendo il foro maggiore verso l alto Installare i spinotti e i cappelli dell albero a camme Installare e stringere i bulloni M8 dei cappelli degli alberi a camme fig 5 seguendo uno schema incrociato in due o tre fasi alla coppia specificata 23 Nem 2 3 kgfem Stringere le viti M6 di montaggio della testata alla coppia specificata 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Installare il tenditore catena di distribuzione nel seguente modo inserire il tenditore della catena di distribuzione con l apposita guarnizione fornita nel kit Athena svitare togliere il tappo del ten dicatena inserire un cacciavite a taglio all interno della vite centrale e farlo girare in senso orario avvitando il tenditore fino a fine corsa serrare i bulloni alla coppia specificata 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Rilasciare il cacciavite e controllare che l asta del tenditore fuoriesca e serrare il tappo filettato del tenditore catena Ruotare l albero motore per alcuni giri controllare poi che il riferimento PMS del rotore volano sia al
4. l arbre cames soient align s la surface de la culasse fig 4 en tenant le trous plus grand vers l haut Installer les goujons et les chapeaux des arbres cames Installer et serrer les boulons M8 des chapeaux des arbres cames fig 5 en zigzag en 2 ou 3 passes au couple sp ci Serrer les boulons M6 de la culasse au couple sp cifi 10 Nem 1 0 Reposer le tendeur de cha ne de distribution avec le nouveau joint fourni dans le kit Athena enlever le couvercle du tendeur avec un tournevis serrer la vis centrale et tourner la dans le sens des aiguilles d une montre et serrer le tendeur jusqu la fin de la course Serrer les boulons au couple sp cifi 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Elargir le tournevis contr ler que la barre du tendeur sorte et serrer le bouchon filet au tendeur de cha ne Tourner de quelque r volution l arbre moteur contr ler que la r f rence PMS du rotor soit align e avec la r f rence sur le couvercle carter fig 2 et que les 2 trous sur l arbre cames soient align e la surface de la culasse 19 4 en tenant le trou plus grand vers l haut V rifier que le joint couvercle de valve n est pas ab m d t rior et le remplacer si n cessaire Reposer le couvercle de soupape et serrer les boulons au couple sp cifi 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Reposer la bougie le capuchon de bougie d allumage et le flexible de reniflard du couvercle de soupape Installer le bouchon sur le c

8. de d former le chapeau d arbre a cames et la culasse du cylindre desserrer chaque crou d 1 4 de tour et enlever les chapeaux d arbre cames et les fermoirs fig 5 Enlever l arbre cames en enclenchant la cha ne de distribution avec un cordeau pour viter qu il tombe dans le carter Veiller a ce que des corps trangers ne tombent pas dans le carter Enlever la culasse du cylindre le joint la patte de la cha ne ant rieure et les goujons enlever le cylindre et couvrir l ouverture du carter afin d viter que aucune impu ret s n entrent pas au dedans D monter le joint d embase et le piston Contr ler les composants suivants Culasse de cylindre nettoyer le ciel de la culasse de possibles incrustations Bielle v rifier le jeu de de piston en suivant les instructions du manuel d emploi et d entretien du conducteur Soupapes d aspiration de d charge v rifier la tenue et le jeu en suivant les instructions du manuel d emploi et d entretien du conducteur La fiabilit du moteur d pend directement de la bonne qualit de ces composants MONTAGE DU GROUPE THERMIQUE Laver soigneusement les composants originaux r utiliser et tous les nouveaux composants du groupe thermique Athena en faisant particuli re attention qu il a pas d impuret s dans les con duits du cylindre ou sur le piston Installer les segments de piston en vitant d endommager le piston reposer le segment sup rieur avec sa marque tourn
9. e vers le haut Couvrir ouverture du carter moteur avec un chiffon Reposer le piston et placer le rep re du piston 4 tourn cot de la soupape d chappement Apr s avoir graiss de piston poser le dans le piston en appuyant l g rement avec la main apr s avoir pos les clips de laxe de piston s assurer qu ils soient bien log s dans leur logements Reposer le nouveau joint d embase fourni dans le kit Athena et les goujons sur le carter moteur Enduire du cylindre le piston e les segments de piston d huile moteur et reposer le cylindre tout en compressant les segments de piston N B Ne pas faire tourner le cylindre car cela risquerait de casser les segments de piston Poser la guide chaine de distribution en alignant ses languettes sur les gorges du cylindre Serrer l crou M6 de montage de la culasse au couple sp cifi 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem apr s avoir fix les boulons de la culasse Reposer les goujons et poser un joint de culasse neuf fourni dans le kit Athena Installer l arbre cames d charge fig 5 Note aligner la r f rence PMS F sur le rotor la r f rence sur le couvercle du carter fig 2 quand le piston se trouve sur PMS pendant la phase de compression Ins rer le cha ne de distribution sur les roues dent es de l arbre cames sur la culasse Note l arbre cames doit tre assembl sur la culasse du cylindre de fa on que les trous sur
10. he piston on the TDC Top Dead Center on the exhaust stroke Turn the crankshaft from the left crankcase with a 19 key to align the mark PMS or T F for KXR and MXU on the flywheel rotor with the index mark on the crankcase cover I see fig 2 Make sure that the small holes on the camshaft are well aligned on the surface of the cylinder head see fig 4 and the biggest hole faces up Unscrew the screw of the belt stretcher and take off the chain adjuster Unscrew the 2 cylinder screws close to chain running and the 4 cylinder head screws to avoid warping the camshaft holders and the cylinder head use a criss cross pattern to loosen each nut about 1 4 turn and remove the camshaft caps with their dowel pins see fig 5 Remove the camshaft by connecting the chain with a string to prevent it from falling into the crankcase Be careful not to drop any foreign bodies into the crankcase Remove the cylinder head the cylinder head gasket the cam chain guide and the dowel pins Slip the cylinder off and cover the crankca se opening to prevent impurities from falling into Remove the base gasket and the piston Check the following components Cylinder head clean the combustion chamber from possible encrustations Connecting rod check the piston pin clearance by keeping to the maintenance manual Inlet exhaust valves check the tightness and the clearance by keeping to the maintenance manual The reliability of your engine is guaranteed by the good condition

12. i componenti del gruppo termico Athena facendo particolare attenzione che non vi siano impurit all interno dei vari canali del cilindro o sul pistone Installare le fasce elastiche evitando di danneggiare il pistone facendo attenzione che l anello superiore abbia il contrassegno rivolto verso l alto quando presente Coprire l apertura del carter con uno straccio Installare il pistone posizionando il contrassegno della freccia rivolto verso il lato della valvola di scarico Dopo aver lubrificato lo spinotto inserirlo nel pistone facendolo avanzare con la pressione della mano Dopo aver inserito gli anelli fermo spinotto accertarsi con scrupolo che gli stessi siano ben sistemati nella loro sede Posizionare la nuova guarnizione base cilindro fornita nel kit Athena e le spine di centraggio sul carter Ungere il foro del cilindro il pistone e le fasce elastiche con olio motore pulito ed installare il cilindro comprimendo le fasce elastiche N B non fare ruotare il cilindro poich ci potrebbe causare la rottura delle fasce elastiche Installare la guida della catena della distribuzione allineando le sue linguette con le scanalature del cilindro Appoggiare la vite M6 di montaggio del cilindro e poi stringere alla coppia specificata 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem dopo aver fissato in quattro bulloni della testa Installare le spine di centraggio e la nuova guarnizione testa cilindro fornita nel kit Athena Installare l albero a camme di scarico fig
13. ig 2 Accertarsi quindi che i due forellini sull albero a camme siano allineati alla superficie della testata cilindro fig 4 mantenendo il foro maggiore verso l alto Svitare la vite del tenditore e rimuovere il tendicatena Svitare le 2 viti del cilindro zona passaggio catena e le 4 viti Testa Cilindro per evitare di deformare i supporti degli alberi a camme e la testata del cilindro allentare i dadi di circa 1 4 di giro alla volta e rimuovere il cappello albero a camme con relative spine di centraggio fig 5 Rimuovere l albero camme collegando la catena della distribuzione con una cor dicella per evitare che cada nel carter Fare attenzione a non far cadere corpi estranei nel carter Rimuovere la testata del cilindro la guarnizione testa pattino catena anteriore e le spine di cen traggio sfilare il cilindro e coprire l imbocco del carter per evitare che vi entrino impurit togliere la guarnizione di base ed il pistone Verificare i seguenti componenti Testata cilindro pulire il cielo della testata da possibili incrostazioni Biella verificare il gioco spinotto attenendosi al manuale uso e manutenzione del veicolo Valvole aspirazione scarico verificare la tenuta e il gioco attenendosi al manuale uso e manutenzione del veicolo Laffidabilita del vostro motore viene garantita anche dalle buone condizioni di questi componenti MONTAGGIO GRUPPO TERMICO Pulire accuratamente i componenti originali che si andranno a riutilizzare e tutti i nuov
14. lineato con il contrassegno del coperchio carter fig 2 e che i due forellini sull albero a camme siano allineate alla superficie della testata cilindro fig 4 mantenendo il foro maggiore verso l alto Controllare se la guarnizione del coperchio valvole del cilindro danneggiata o deteriorata e sostituirla con una nuova se necessario Installare il coperchio valvole e stringere i bulloni alla coppia specificata 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Installare la candela il cappuccio della candela ed il tubo di sfiato del coperchio valvole Installare il tappo sul lato destro d ispezione fasatura ed il carter sinistro fig 3 serrare viti M6 a 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Fare attenzione alle spine di centraggio Installare il carburatore e fissare la fascetta relativa Fare attenzione allo starter Installare valvola termostatica M6 a 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem fig 1 Installare il tubo sfiato olio Collegare i manicotti del circuito del liquido di raffreddamento Riempire il circuito di raffreddamento con liquido fino al collo del foro di riempimento Riempire il carter motore con l olio SAE 10 W 40 fino al contrassegno del livello superiore Pulire e se necessario sostituire il filtro aria Installare silenziatore scarico collettore scarico e gli elementi esterni tolti precedentemente per raggiungere il gruppo termico in ordine inverso serbatoio con la valvola carburante sella care ne ecc Verificare e adeguare la carburazione al nuovo gruppo ter

17. on is on PMS during the compression phase Install the distribution chain on the toothed wheels of the camshaft on the cylinder head Note the camshaft has to be assembled on the cylinder head so as the two camshaft holes are well ali gned to the cylinder head surface fig 4 The biggest hole shall face up Install the piston pins and the camshaft caps Install and tighten evenly all the M8 bolts of the camshaft caps fig 5 to the specific torque in a criss cross pattern in two or three steps 23 Nem 2 3 kgfem Tighten the cylinder head mounting screws M6 to the specific torque 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Install the chain tensioner in the following way insert the chain tensioner with the gasket supplied in the Athena kit remove the cap of the chain tensioner by using a screw driver in the central screw rotate completely the tensioner clockwise and tighten the bolts to the specific torque 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem Loosen the screwdriver and check that the tensioner bar comes out Screw up the close nipple of the chain tensioner Rotate the crankshaft for some turns Check that the mark PMS on the rotor is aligned with the reference on the crankcase cover see fig 2 and that the two small holes on the camshaft are well aligned on the surface of the cylinder head see fig 4 and the biggest hole faces up Check if the valve cover gasket is damaged or worn and replace it with a new one if necessary install the cylinder head cover and tighten the bolts to t
18. s of these elements ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Clean carefully all the original components you are re placing and all the new components of the Athena cylinder kit Be sure that there are no gasket residua or bruises left inside the various cylinder ports or on the piston Install the piston rings and avoid piston damage during installation Install the top ring with its marking facing up if there is any Cover the opening in the crankcase with rag Position the piston mark facing to the exhaust valve side After lubricating the piston pin slide it inside the piston pinhole by pushing it with hand after assembling the circlips check carefully that they are well tightened inside their seats Place the new cylinder base gasket supplied with the Athena kit and the dowel pins on the crankcase Coat the cylinder bore piston and piston rings with engine oil and install the cylinder while compressing the piston rings N B Do not rotate the cylinder since this may cause the piston rings to break Install the cam chain guide by aligning its tabs with the cylinder grooves Install and tighten the cylinder mounting bolt M6 to the specified torque 10 Nem 1 0 kgfem after locking the four bolts to the head Install the dowel pins and the new cylinder head gasket supplied in Athena kit Install the exhaust camshaft see fig 5 Note align the mark PMS T F on the rotor with the reference on the crankcase cover I fig 2 when the pist
