14. con tattare un medico Quando si lavora sull accumulatore indossa re sempre gli occhiali di protezione e guanti Quando si rimuove l accumulatore scollegare prima il cavo di massa quando si installa l accumulatore collegare prima il cavo positivo Se un attrezzo tocca il morsetto positivo e contemporaneamente la struttura della mac china si crea il pericolo di scintillamento e quindi di esplosione Serrare accuratamente i morsetti di collega mento in quanto falsi contatti possono essere causa di scintille e quindi di esplosioni 4 4 8 ACCUMULATOR CAUTION A When checking or working on the accumula tor stop the engine and ensure that the ignition key is in the O position The accumulator produces hydrogen which is explosive Do not approach with naked lights and do not smoke near the accumulator or produce sparks The electrolyte consists of diluted sulphuric acid This may corrode clothes and burn skin if you come into contact with it wash the affected area completely with ample quantities of running water If the acid comes into contact with the eyes wash immediately in large quantities of run ning water and consult a doctor When working on the accumulator always wear protective goggles and gloves When removing the accumulator first discon nect the earth cable when the cable is installed first connect the positive cable If a machine part touches the p

19. direction of the gradient Never carry out highly oblique movements and on no account allow the machine axis to be at right angles to the direction of the gradient f when operating on a gradient the fuel re serve warning light comes on refuel immedi ately the machine may suck in air because of the incline at which it is operating and air is sucked in the engine will suddenly stall and the operator and persons downhill of the machine will be at grave risk Ifthe engine suddenly stalls lower the bucket to the ground immediately 4 4 OPERATING NEAR UNDERGROUND PIPELINES TELEPHONE LINES AND HIGH VOLTAGE CABLES Before excavating you must establish together with the person in charge of work whether there are underground pipelines telephone lines or power cables in the operating area that could jeopardise in any way the safety of the personnel working there If there are the exact location must be established If the possibility of making contact with the pipelines cannot be excluded the operator must ensure that he or she is assisted during excavating by other personnel who carefully monitor operations If con tact is accidentally made with the pipelines cables or a Safety system suspend operations immedi ately and inform the owner of the pipeline or ca bling protect or render safe the uncovered pipe lines or cabling whilst a permanent solution is found 975 4 5 LAVORI IN PROSSIMIT DI CONDUTTURE ELET
