1. 39 III 1 5 ECONOMY MODE ECONOMIC Use this function to go into saving energy running III 1 6 SETTING THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE A and V by pressing these keys in the AUTO COOL DRY and HEAT modes it is possible to increase or reduce the desired temperature between 17 C and 30 C The display shows the selected temperature Ill 1 7 SETTING THE LOUVER In order to obtain optimal air distribution adjust the motorised louver making sure that the air flow is not directly pointed at anyone For the motorised louver proceed as follows AIR By pressing the AIR DIRECTION key several times it is possible to modify the position of the deflector DIRECTION By pressing the SWING key it is possible to activate continuous louver swing mode DANGER Moving the motorised louver manually when the unit is on could cause operating problems or damage the gt adjustment system 1 8 SETTING THE pressing the SPEED key several times it is possible to adjust the fan speed between the three available speeds or to activate the AUTO mode The operating mode appears on the display C SPEED AUTO automatic speed operation LOW minimum speed operation MED medium speed operation HIGH high speed operation III 1 9 SETTING THE TIMER IMPORTANT In order for the timer settings to have an effect the remote control must ALWAYS be positioned near the unit at a maximum distance of

6. e The OPERATION lamp on the indoor unit will start flashing when power is restored e To restart operation push the ON OFF button on the remote controller e Lightning or a car wireless telephone operating nearby may cause the unit to malfunction Disconnect the unit with the power and then connect the unit with the power again Push the ON OFF button on the remote controller to restart operation IV 4 HINTS FOR ECONOMICAL OPERATION The following should be noticed to ensure an economical operation 43 m Adjust the air flow direction properly to avoid winding toward your body m Adjust the room temperature properly to get a comfortable situation and to avoid super cooling and superheat m In cooling close the curtains to avoid direct sunlight m To keep cool or warm air in the room never open doors or windows more often than necessary m Set the timer for the desired operating time m Never put obstructions near the air outlet or the air inlet Or it will cause lower efficiency even a sudden stop m If you don t plan to use the unit for a long time please disconnect power and remove the batteries from the remote controller When the power switch is connected some energy will be consumed even if the air conditioner isn t in operation So please disconnect the power to save energy And please switch the power on 12 hours before you restart the unit to ensure a smooth operation m A clogged air filter will reduce cooling or heating
7. 1 12 5 FAN MODE To set the fan mode FAN proceed as follows select the fan mode by pressing the MODE key 1 adjust fan speed by pressing FAN SPEED key 3 choosing between AUTO and other speeds HIGH MED LOW point the remote control at the unit receiver and press the ON OFF key ON OFF 4 adjust the air flow in keeping with requirements by using the SWING key 5 or AIR DIRECTION key 6 Once these adjustments have been made they will be offered when the unit is switched back on If received by the unit every signal transmitted by the remote control is confirmed by a beep sound 42 IV 2 PARTS NAMES OF THE UNIT The air conditioner consists of indoor unit outdoor unit connecting pipe and remote controller Refer to Fig 2 1 Function indicators on indoor unit display panel OPERATION AUTO TIMER O O O PRE DEF O O O Fig 2 1 amp NOTE All the pictures in this manual are for explanation purpose only They may be slightly different from the air conditioner you purchased depending on model The actual shape shall prevail e The OPERATION lamp flashes once per second when connecting power supply e The operation lamp on the first operated unit flashes two times per second the lamp on the second operated unit will be lit all the time e The operation lamp will be off when the air conditioner switch off e The timer lamp will be lit when on off time has been set e The DEF lamp will be lit

10. e There is no danger of fire due to leakage of inflammable gas e The piping length between the outdoor unit and the indoor unit may not exceed the allowable piping length e n the case that the installation place is exposed to strong wind such as a seaside make sure the fan operating properly by putting the unit lengthwise along the wall or using a dust or shield Refer to Fig 6 1 Fig 6 1 e If possible do not install the unit where it is exposed to direct sunlight If necessary install a blind that does not interfere with the air flow e During the heating mode the water drained off the outdoor unit The condensate should be well drained away by the drain hole to an appropriate place so as not to interfere other people e Select the position where it will not be subject to snow drifts accumulation of leaves or other seasonal debris If unavoidable please cover it with a shelter e Locate the outdoor unit as close to the indoor unit as possible e If possible please remove the obstacles nearby to prevent the performance from being impeded by too little of air circulation Refer to Fig 6 2 Side air outlet outdoor unit Wall or obstacle Air inlet Jh P 30cm 23000 Maintain channel PE M J Air outlet Fig 6 2 ih IV 6 2 Install the drain joint of the outdoor unit Fit the seal into the drain joint then insert the drain joint into the base pan hole of outdoor rotate 90 to securely
