OWNER S INSTRUCTIONS CRAFTSMAN DE THATCHING RAKE KIT odel No 292670 CAUTION Read all instructions and warnings before operating SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS REMOVAL OF THE MINI TILLER TINES For Flat Wing Nut NOTE Prior to installing the de thatching rakes the mini tiller tines must be removed Please Cultivator Se refer to the operator s manual of the unit for proper removal of the cultivating tines as Shields For Curved Cultivator Shields each mini tiller s tine removal instruction may be different Place the extra clip pins or clevis pin and clip in a safe location for future use To convert a mini tiller to a lawn de thatcher proceed as follows 1 Push the On Off switch to Off O position to stop engine and disconnect the spark plug to avoid accidental starting 2 Clean any dirt or debris from mini tiller s gear box and shield area 3 Lay the mini tiller back in a horizontal position on a flat level surface with the upper handle touching the ground 4 Remove the click pins or clevis pin and clip from the tine shafts and slide the tines off the shaft Refer to units operator s manual Removing the Tines INSTALLING THE DE THATCHING SHIELD 1 Place the carriage bolt through the J clamp center hole and push the assembled J clamp through the de thatching shield slot so that the end of th2. e square bolt is protruding up from the top of the de thatching shield Screw the wing nut onto the carriage bolt making sure to leave the J clamp assembly loose and free to move along the slot Fig 1 amp 2 2 Repeat step 1 for the other side De Thatching 3 From the front of the unit slide the de thatching shield over the mini tiller shield so that the Shield bent part of the shield is facing forward and to the front of the mini tiller Fig 2 NOTE Depending on which type of mini tiller shield the unit has will determine which part of the J clamp will be used Fig 1 4 With the de thatching shield held tightly against the cultivating shield turn the loose J J clamps so that the J part of the clamp is under the mini tiller shield Fig 3 5 Tighten the wing nut until the de thatching shield is held securely against the mini tiller shield so that it does not slide or move 6 Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the opposite side INSTALLING THE DE THATCHING RAKES NOTE Each de thatching rake has a decal noting which side of the unit it is to be placed on for proper installation from the operator s position 1 Slide the de thatching rake with the hub facing inward onto the tine shaft Make sure to Fig 3 align the front hole on the shaft with the front hole on the de thatching rake Fig 4 Right Side NOTE If click pin does not assemble in the first hole align the second hole of the de thatcher rake with the inside hole of the tine shaft and use

4. ra que corra Vista desde la parte inferior de la cultivadora a lo largo de la ranura Fig 1 y 2 Abrazadera Caja de engranajes 2 Repita el paso 1 en el otro lado en y pd 3 Desde el frente de la unidad deslice el protector del escarificador sobre el protector de la Vv TF v mini cultivadora de manera que la parte doblada del protector quede mirando hacia adelante y hacia el frente de la mini cultivadora NOTA El tipo de protector para mini cultivador que tenga la unidad determinara qu parte de la abrazadera en J Fig 1 4 Sujetando el protector del escarificador fuertemente contra el protector de la cultivadora gire las abrazaderas en J sueltas de manera que la parte en J de la abrazadera quede 4 debajo del protector de la mini cultivadora Fig 3 Fig 3 5 Apriete la tuerca de mariposa hasta que el protector del escarificador quede bien seguro Lado derecho contra el protector de la mini cultivadora de manera que no se deslice ni se mueva 2 gt 6 Repita los pasos 4 y 5 en el lado opuesto C MO INSTALAR LOS RASTRILLOS DEL ESCARIFICADOR NOTA Cada rastrillo escarificador tiene una calcoman a que indica en qu lado de la unidad se debe colocar para realizar una instalaci n adecuada desde la posici n del operador 1 Deslice el rastrillo escarificador con el n cleo mirando hacia adentro hacia el eje de los dientes Aseg rese de alinear el agujero delantero del eje con el agujero delantero del rastrillo escarif
5. te o pasadores cultivadoras de horquilla adicionales y pasadores en un lugar seguro para uso en el futuro curvas Para convertir una mini cultivadora en un escarificador de c sped proceda de la forma siguiente 1 Coloque el interruptor de Encendido Apagado en la posici n Apagado O para detener el Perno a pee motor y desconectar la bujia a fin de evitar un arranque accidental 2 Limpie la suciedad o los residuos de la caja de engranaje de la mini cultivadora y del rea Fig 1 del protector Vista desde la parte superior del protector 3 Coloque la mini cultivadora hacia atr s en posici n horizontal sobre una superficie plana lt A de Ranura del nivelada con la manija superior tocando el suelo mariposa protector 4 Quite los pasadores de trinquete o pasadores de horquilla y el pasador de los ejes de los dientes y deslice los dientes fuera del eje Vea las unidades sobre c mo quitar los dientes en el manual del operador INSTALACI N DEL PROTECTOR DEL ESCARIFICADOR 1 Coloque el perno de cabeza de hongo a trav s del agujero central de la abrazadera en J y empuje la abrazadera en J ensamblada a trav s de la ranura del protector del escarificador Protector del de manera que el extremo del perno cuadrado sobresalga por la parte superior del escarificador Perno protector del escarificador Atornille la tuerca de mariposa en el perno de cabeza de Fig 2 hongo asegur ndose de dejar el conjunto de abrazadera en J suelto y libre pa
